I have always enjoyed this place, and have never once had a reason to complain. Well, until tonight. So I go online to check the hours of operation, because having been on the other side of the counter a long time ago, I know how it is when you are trying to close up and that last minute order comes in.
I am in luck! They close at ten... I place my order at 8:40, and can expect to have my delicious slice of heaven in my hands at 9:13. I walk in at 9:21, plenty of time before 10, and a little past the quoted time because we all know stuff can come up.
I am greeted very kindly by "Um, we're closed. That door should have been locked." Interesting, since you are scheduled to close in 40 minutes, and I already paid online for my food. Luckily, I am able to coax a hint of customer service with the response "she will be out in a bit to get your order."
Cool, thanks for putting forth the effort to make me feel welcome and feel that I spent my hard earned and over taxed money wisely by coming here...
Hopefully the management will read this, so they can plan to get an ear full tomorrow and then lose my buisness. Forever? Eh, probably as likely that somebody actually cares for the consumer these days... I can say it will be quite some time before I darken the doorway of this buisness again. When we called to ask where our pizza was after it was 30 minutes late, we were given the run around and then transferred to another employee, who tried to figure out where our order was. She then told us that it is going out with the delivery driver then. The order ended up being an hour late. We ordered two pizzas and bread twist. One of the pizzas we ordered had pineapple, olives and bacon, the other pizza was a Maui Zowie. We got a combination pizza and a slice from our Maui Zowie was gone!! I get being busy and have no issues with it being late but the fact that we had issues with the pizza!! This is the second time with this Round Table messing up our order. For the price we pay now for 2 pizzas and getting service like this is absolute...
   Read morePizza's are always made to perfection; my issue is with the online ordering pickup times vs. ACTUAL delivery to my car window when I show up at the appointed time. The last two pizza's I ordered, I've waited at least an additional 25 minutes AFTER the "pickup time" for a pizza that should have already been finished. That's in addition to the only 15-25 minute estimate given for the order. I live 5 minutes away and missed much of the Raiders vs. Chiefs game because of this. The first time, it seemed like the pizza hadn't even been put in the oven by the time I showed up on time to pick it up. I now find it quicker to order from the Montecito Round Table, which is much further away, because they are ready at the expected time. This online ordering seemed so promising; I hope Montgomery Village Round Table steps...
