Pho Vietnam Restaurant — Restaurant in Santa Rosa

Apparently this restaurant does not take credit card fraud seriously.

I picked up a to-go order the other night, was given the total and provided my credit card. They didn’t give me a receipt to sign, which I found odd, but they were busy with other customers so I let it slide. Then I checked my credit card statement and found that they had taken it upon themselves to add a 20% tip to my to go order. I’ve been getting pho there for years, and once or twice a week for the past month or two, but apparently someone thought I wouldn’t notice this.

I called in today and was given the run around about how the manager wasn’t in, finally someone called me back and the short of it was that they claimed that they couldn’t refund me the additional charge on my credit card (someone in the background was saying they could void the transaction, but I wasn’t asking for that and it wasn’t offered to me). I said that if they wouldn’t adjust the charge I could just call my credit card company, and they said that was what I should do. The tone of the exchange was not pleasant, rather adversarial actually. I did not get the impression that they took the matter at all seriously, one man said that whoever took my order “must have hit the wrong button.”

I work in the food service industry as well. If I added a tip to a guests check I would get fired, and my manager would certainly be sure that the guest got their money back, they might even comp the meal to boot.

I’ll say that I really like the pho broth at Pho Vietnam, so I’m not happy that I have to find a new pho place. But I won’t be patronizing a restaurant that steals from its customers then feels no obligation or remorse...

Pho Vietnam Restaurant located on stony point road is one of the best in Sonoma county! It is filled with family and friends at all hours of the day.

When it comes to their food not only is their signature dish, Pho amazing but I’m very fond of their vermicelli noodles! They cook all their meat very well. They have an entire section dedicated to vegetarians. They also have a kids menu. My guest and I ordered the number 8. Combo noodle Pho and 9 which included eye round steak, brisket, flank tendon, and tripe. We had the large size and it was plenty. They have small, large and extra large and they have good portions. They’re also another Asian restaurant who keeps the sauces, spices, and utensils on the table for the customer to do as they please.

The employees are all very nice and courteous. I’ve had a gentleman who I don’t know if he was a server or chef, but my pho was getting cold and I was continuing to eat it so he came out with new hot broth and I was so grateful! That is very thoughtful and observant restaurant service.

There is parking since it’s an outlet area near food Maxx, Ross, Dollar Tree. There is handicapped parking as well as wheelchair accessibility.

To all my Sonoma county people out there I recommend trying this place! If you already have, keep up the good work. This is great Asian food...

Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. The food wasn't terrible but it also definitely wasn't very good. I ordered #A9 Buffalo wings Spicy and the #26 Bun Vermicelli with BBQ chicken (added shrimp which came in a small bowl on the side). The wings were not sauced or seasoned aside from the salty batter, no notable spiciness, they came with ranch dressing. The Bun was quite disappointing, soggy/wet vermicelli, large chunks of iceberg lettuce, light on the herbs and peanuts, and the chicken was cold and dry, the added shrimp didn't offer much improvement; after a sufficient serving of hot sauce the bun was tolerable. To add to the experience, the staff seemed a bit disrespect and somewhat negligent to most of the guests with the exception of those who seemed to have been friends or family. Instead it seemed the staff was more interested in socializing amongst eachother, which didn't really bother me until I stood waiting at the cash register (within view) for the conversation to resolve. To be fair this was around 8pm and approaching closing time (830p), although the restaurant was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night. Ultimately, I dont think ill...
