Santa Pictures at Montgomery Village Review - Whomever set up the Santa pictures has no children or can't remember what it was like when they were young. Here was the massive process for Santa pictures. Now keep in mind this is geared toward babies, toddlers and children - all who who can't stand still, stand in line long, behave in fancy stores, need snacks, meals and rest on a schedule. So the process: you stood in one line to get numbers to come back an hour later to stand in another line for 30 mins-1 hour to get a picture with Santa. So this was a 2-3 hour process to get pictures with Santa FOR CHILDREN. This was set up as a ploy to force families to go shopping in the village and come back after an hour or more to get a picture taken. Here's the thing: with toddlers, babies and kids - that's not a good idea. They don't last for hours walking about a shopping plaza. It was a horrible experience. Have a line, people stand in it, take your picture and leave. What is with 2 lines and getting a number? Who even thinks that is a good idea or possible with young children? Beyond awful experience. Way to ruin Santa pictures. Bah humbug M. Village. Just extremely poorly planned and...

This is a great shopping area, spread out over several blocks, so requires some walking. A huge variety of stores and shops, chains like JJill, See's, Ross and specialty shops like Sur Le Table and Village Art Supply. Also mingled throughout are local shops like, The Bird's Nest and Urban Garden, Copperfields Books.

There is something for everyone here, men, women and children. Along with great shopping there is really good food! Several restaurants and bistros; Cattleman's and Roundtable for hearty examples. Osake and Thai Bistro for ethnic deliciousness, Coldstone and See's for your sweet tooth and many others.

Also a super market and a few banks.

Certain times of year they have live music and other events and the holidays are decorated and festive.

They're are over 70 shops in all. Tons of free parking and public restrooms. Just bring an umbrella if it's rainy out, because there is little cover...

From a couple of orchards in 1949, Hugh Codding began construction on what would become the first dozen businesses that would become the Montgomery Village Shopping Center. Over the years it would expand to 75 stores. It also has a supermarket, five banks, twelve restaurants and a Post Office outlet. Prior to selling to WS Development Company in June, 2021, former owners David and Melissa Codding were working with tenants to hold onto them in tough economic times, brought on by the coronavirus. I have been coming to Montgomery Village for many years. It may be a stretch to say but it seems like all roads in Santa Rosa lead here.
