El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Santee

El Pollo Loco DISCONTINUED vegetarian "chicken."

That's too bad because it was one of the few restaurants near me that offered veggie protein. Although I can still get good food there, EPL's menu no longer stands out for me. I haven't returned since.

As far as I know, all locations have stopped selling the chickenless option; I'm not singling out this location.

El Pollo Loco, please bring back a non-bean meatless protein option.

The staff is probably the most friendly of any retail business in my experience with rare exceptions. They are accommodating to vegetarians and now have veggie "chicken."

We went to El Pollo Loco, in Santee, on Christmas eve, near closing time. We had to go inside because no one talked to us, over the speaker, in the drive thru. We didn't know that they closed at 7, and are deeply sorry for the last minute order. However, they made everything we ordered, fresh, and correctly. The only negative was that the salsa on my double avocado burrito was so hot, I could barely eat it, that and they forgot the dressing to our salad. But, we go to this location a lot, and I figured the hiccups today were due to trying to rush the orderthrough, so they could go home. Would like to thank the staff for taking our last minute order. Next time, I'll order the burrito...

We went through the drive through and ordered when we got to the window to pay we asked for the military discount. I got handed my recept and a bag of food. I checked the recept and NO discount. I asked why and to my surprise I was told it's only a $1.50 what's the big deal. I eat at a lot of restraints that don't offer any type of discount but if you are going to offer a Milituary discount to attract business and to show appreciation for their service why do you give someone grief and belittle the discount when they ask for the offered discount? I guess..That's what ya call thank you for...
