Don’t come to Concord (SoCo) for the fried chicken! Tortellini, wings, pizza, and almost everything else I’ve had here is fantastic. But the fried chicken special on Sunday and Tuesday? Go to KFC if you want better chicken. It’s the main reason I go to Joey B’s on Sun & Tue, but their cook times are the worst. I’ve been going to The Hill for a few months after telling several of the staff and management, at Concord, that their cooks are overcooking the chicken. I thought I’d give Concord (SoCo) another chance today and I was very disappointed! Chicken was overcooked and dried out. Gravy was as thick as milk… I just can’t anymore. I’ll continue to drive the extra 20 mins to The Hill location to get some good fried chicken. I just don’t understand why, if you’re promoting this as a special to draw people in, why would you make it so unappetizing?!? And before you ask, no I did not complain this time. I come from food service and only send food back if it’s inedible. It wasn’t worth the price I paid but it was still edible. I’ve noted to several of the staff in the past so this problem should have been fixed by now… Evidently they just don’t care

Joey B is actually a part of a St Louis Family established group of restaurants. I had lunch with my hubs at the South County (Concord) location. We arrived about 1130, but place quickly filled up with patrons who knew what yummy food they were in for. Despite the busy atmosphere Branden our server was prompt, friendly and courteous. We ordered one of the house speciality appetizer: Onion Rings shown here. Pic does NOT DO THEM JUSTICE!! They are all the size of softballs or LARGER and so good! I had the burger with bacon and onion which a portion of the purchase proceeds go to a local charity. Probably one of the best burgers ever. Real beef of the highest quality. Hubs had a buffalo chicken sandwich that was a enormous slab of batter dipped golden fried chicken perfection topped with buffalo sauce and their homemade potato chips. Food here was amazing. Their menu has everything from pasta, pizza, salads and steaks. If you are looking for good food-and a lot of it- this place is a must try. (or check out their other locations!)

I dined in with family, I asked the server how the seafood pasta is, she was excited to tell me it's delicious. I ordered it. I was disappointed though. On the menu it states that it's supposed to come with shrimp, clams, and crab meat. I was anticipating something really delicious, especially for $25. When I received my dish, I had five shrimp in it and 1 piece of clam meat and no crab. My friend at the table ordered the same dish and it was lacking seafood as well. It would have been better if they would have told me they were out of seafood than to serve the dish incomplete. The portion size was huge, but the seafood pasta only really had five shrimp in it. I took a picture as it arrived the pasta was very bland as well. My other friend at the table ordered the fried chicken dinner, he said that the chicken was good but was disappointed that the potatoes were instant potatoes.

Every time that I come to the establishment, I try and give them chances. It’s either long wait times bad service or the food is cold well tonight it just happened to be all three of those. I called in to have a to go order. Got there to pick up my food when I realized that I had left my wallet at home. They said they don’t accept Apple Pay. So I told them that I would give them my debit card number, I know it by heart. The manager then stated that they needed to see my ID and a picture of the card with my name on it. I asked if I had paid over the phone you wouldn’t have asked or been able to get my ID. I would have paid over the phone but wasn’t given the option. If I had been we wouldn’t be even in this situation then if I had been asked how I wanted to pay when I ordered. It all could’ve been avoided. I asked if I could take my food home while it was fresh and when I got home I would call and give her the number. That wasn’t acceptable. So I called my girlfriend at home, had her locate my wallet have her send me pictures of my ID in my debit card. Mind you I am in my work uniform that has a name badge with my first and last name on it. I asked for my food to be remade so it could be hot for my family when I got home. The food came back out in 10 minutes. This was the same food I had just given back to be remade. Manager even confirmed it as she scoffed when she handed it to me and I said there’s no way. I left and contacted the gm. I hope to hear from them and hope they make it right. So update, been waiting but never got reimbursed. Also found out they didn’t cook the food fresh, all they did was reheat the food again making it even more overcooked and less appealing to eat. Beyond ridiculous for the service they give and the prices they charge to...

I took my mom here for her 80th birthday, which was our first time at the restaurant. The wait was about 30 minutes on a Sunday. First look at the menu it was a little over priced for what they offer but ok. We ordered our food it didn't take to long for them to bring it to the table. Our waiter was okay until it came time to pay the bill. We all paid separately. While I'm waiting for him to return my credit card I noticed that I received multiple alerts stating the transaction was declining due to the wrong cvv # being entered. So I asked him what number are you entering he states I'm just running the card which was weird because he didn't answer the question. So I gave him a new card and that went thru fine. At that time he was given a cash tip. No tip was given from my credit card. So we left shortly after. Monday night around 1:00 a.m. I get an alert from my back account stating a tip had been added from my account which put me into a negative balance, because there was no money on the card. I was furious. It's about the principle and integrity. You don't add your own tip if the customer didn't authorize it no matter what the amount is. Needless to say the very next day I called the restaurant as soon as they opened spoke with a manager by the name of Troy I believe. He was very condescending from the beginning of the call. He made and excuse for the waiter and stated he would need to look more into it and call be back but never did. We definitely will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. I plan to be very vocal on social media about my experience with them. It's really sad that you can't even trust the waiter to run your card without fear of them being dishonest and adding an...

Not sure what all the ranting & raving is about this place. Had a co-worker mention it, so it was our first time, but I don’t think my husband & I will be back. I ordered the roast beef w/ fries; He ordered the southern fried steak. My fries were room temp, and hard because of it. The roast beef was decent, but nothing amazing. Husband said the same about his- it was okay but nothing great. Said he could it make it at the house. Again- not terrible but during dinner we both had wished we had chosen somewhere else. I will say they do have lots to choose from on the menu, which is nice, but I truly wonder how much of it is homemade/made in house and not pre-packaged and frozen. Beyond the food, we were told a 20 minute wait and waited 40. Didn’t realize the served a basket of bread until our waitress asked us if we wanted it now or with our food. I feel as if this should automatically be brought out, otherwise whats the point of a bread basket? I don’t want bread with my main meal. After seeing it on anothers table, I could care less. Its sliced white bread with prepackaged butter. What the? Why even? A tad irrelevant but I do feel atmosphere matters, and the music selection was so awful. Eminem, bebe rexha, and halsey. I imagine the staff makes the playlist, if I had to guess. Not sure how the persistent & higher percentage of the older crowd we saw there stands it. The outdoor seating is nice I will say but we didn’t choose it because husband was getting bit up as we were waiting outside. Maybe need some tiki torches or candles? i was fine but could see it being a concern. Above it all, waitress also wasn’t even noticeable, pretty non existent. I dont think ive left such a...
