I visited this restaurant a couple nights ago with my husband and son. We got there about 2 hours before closing time. The place was nearly empty aside from one table. We requested to sit in the furthest corner away from the other guests as our son is an infant and we didnt want him to disturb the other guests if he were to get upset. But the hostess denied our request and set us right behind the other guests regardless. When we went to get food from the buffet we noticed they were nearly out of everything. But we were politely told that if we wanted more of anything to just ask. First off I don't eat a lot of chinese food. I usually sample a little bit of everything and don't pay much attention to the names of dishes. So I didn't ask for any of the dishes that were completely empty as I had no idea if I'd like them or not and didn't want to be wasteful. This bothered me as I have no idea what I was missing out on and I'm a little uncomfortable with asking for things like this anyways. And 2 hours seems awfully early to stop refilling a buffet. Anyways, we both love crab legs. Which is the main reason we decided to try this place. They had enough for my husband and I to get a serving each and enough left for maybe half of another serving. I asked if they could make some more crab legs for us as we knew we'd be eating more than what was left and wanted to give them plenty of time to make it. The woman went and told the cook. We saw the cook point to the few remaining crab legs then the woman and the cook began to have a heated argument in what we assume was chinese and gesturing towards us. After they finished arguing the cook gave us a very nasty look went back to the kitchen and began yelling at someone back there in a very angry manner. We were already feeling uncomfortable to say the least. The cook brought out a few more crab legs and then him the waitress and some other man working there proceeded to watch us like a hawk if we got up or was just sitting trying to eat. The cook and that other guy working there walked down by our table more than a couple of times to look at our plates (i assume to see if we were wasting the crab legs) and gave us very nasty looks every time we looked up at him. Every time he'd go back to the kitchen we would get to hear more angry yelling. We ended up leaving before we got full and before we even had desert as we were very uncomfortable. We guess he was angry that we would ask for more of something. But we were told to ask for more of what we wanted. Needless to say we did not ask for more of anything else and yes there were some things we probably would have liked more of. The food is actually really good. But I can't say that I've ever been made to feel so uncomfortable and so unwanted at a restaurant. If you're considering going here.. Do yourself a favor and make sure its well before closing time When you won't have to ask for anything as they do not take kindly to it apparently. They had great food but the absolute worst customer service I've ever seen. And If anyone from the restaurant happens to read this, please take it as a hint for self improvement as you...
Read moreBack when they delivered, my mother and I decided to order a few things off their menu. The delivery guy that showed up gave us the food, and the food came to about $25 something. We only had two twenties so we gave him both. He didn't even bother to give us our change back, because while I waited, he started walking away, and took a $15 tip with him. He was rude and didn't even deserve a fifteen dollar tip. I called the restaurant afterwards, because I was juggling all my food in my hands I couldn't run after the little thief, and they asked the delivery guy about it. He claimed that he had no clue what I was talking about, that I gave him $25 exactly. Which angered me, because I saw him look at the two twenty dollar bills. The woman I spoke with of course took his side. What ever happened to the customer is always right? The waiters and waitresses are always rude, I've even tried to laugh, joke, and make conversation with them, and they act as though they couldn't care less if I choked on their food and died - BUT that would be bad for their little money making business. They make it quite obvious that all they care about is money. My ex fiance and I went to this place for our first ever date over a year ago. The food on the buffet line was so old, crusty and dried out, I'm fairly sure that bread rolls aren't supposed to resemble chewing on a balloon. Their scallops were on the heater for so long it became hard for me to chew them, and scallops are my favorite. When they're FRESH. They obviously do not change out the food depending on the time it's been out so I'm pretty fearful of eating here again, because I don't want to get food poisoning from the old food they serve us. My ex fiance and I decided to try and give the place another shot, and the food this time was actually decent because we got there upon opening so we could get fresh food, and the waiter that was attending to us NOT ONLY stood over us practically and watched us like hawks, but made us feel like we were in a prison yard and he wanted to make sure we ate all our food. He stood there for up to five minutes, walked away, and then came back to our table after. Not once asking if we needed a refill on our obviously empty glasses, not taking our empty plates when we went back for seconds, and dessert, Just stood there and watched us like we were some kind of freak show. The fact that he didn't even bother to take ANY plates from our table when we started running out of room to put our new plates was disgraceful. I've never had such bad service from any Chinese joint. From now on, I'll be attending the restaurants located in Tulsa, OK because at least there, their food is fresh, the staff is nice, and we have elbow room because the staff knows how to do their job. Thanks for the service, Huo Yung. You've...
Read moreWaitress almost always just tells you where to sit. Brings your drinks. You never see her again. I've always had to get up to go ask for drink refills. Today I walked to where drinks are. Lady wasn't my waitress but I asked for a to go cup for my hot tea. The lady looked at my cup, then me. Pretty dirty look. She acted like I was trying to get something free. She filled my cup halfway. She never said one word, even after I said thank you...just the dirty look. I made 1 trip to buffet..I dont eat much because of surgery. I always tip 20% but today, no. I paid my $36.00 bill but gave her a 1.00 tip. The waitress immediately questioned me..."1.00?" I said yes, 1.00. She questioned again. I repeated yes 1.00. I should have told her why. I've never had such poor service as I've always had there. I've been a customer service person all my life. They have no idea what good service is. They have lost this customer permanently. I will drive into Tulsa...
