I don't do fast food often, but I do love me some Bueno every few months or so. Back in the day, I use to eat here twice a month or more. And the one thing they can't seem to do is ever get you all of the items you ordered, or all of the things that go with your food like plastic ware, napkins. I know for some people it goes without saying with any fast food, you check your stuff before you leave. But with this specific Bueno, it's a requirement, or you will find something missing. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse with this place. It had been probably 6 months since my last Bueno visit.
Yesterday I went to check my order before I left, and what did I find. It looked like someone had poured a container of salsa into the bag, it was all over the place, and pooling on top of the top food container in the bag. So my best guess is someone just threw the salsa in there. Whatever happened to put the salsa in a separate bag, I thought they did that specifically for this reason? I could be wrong. In addition to that, they did forget an entire bag, that went with the order. It was one that contained all of the forks, knives, napkins and a soft taco and tortilla chips that went with one of the meal.
And if that wasn't enough, I was truly amazed when I started eating the queso, with my chilada. The cheese quality at this restaurant has gone to the awful side. If I had to guess what happened is they don't use the traditional Bueno salsa and have opted to start buying those big can's of cheese you can get at Sams or Walmart. I was really shocked with this, because the queso at Bueno restaurants is truly unique, and that is one of the reasons you choose to go to Bueno as opposed to other restaurants like taco bell, where you come to expect that lower quality in the queso.
I hate to put bad reviews out there but I honestly want to warn people. This restaurant has just gotten worse and worse over the years. I don't know if the owner is just trying to cut costs, and/or have little oversight to how things are run at this restaurant. Or if the corporate office has something to do with it because I know that they can sometimes leave the franchise little choice in where they get their food from.
I've lived in Sapulpa for 10 years, but the next time I want Bueno I will be driving down the road, either to Glenpool, or town west for my next experience. I hope I don't find this poor quality at all restaurants. I won't be returning to the Sapulpa store, I've given them so much slack over the years, and put up with so much. But its just finally crossed the...
Read moreI’ll be kind and give them stars. It was the kind of fast food experience I regret. The parking lot and flowerbeds are unkept. Litter is expected but the amount I saw seems to confirm that this location is lacking. This should have reminded me why we stopped eating at this location.
The tacos we ordered were paltry. Barely any meat and cheese. The beans in the burritos have chunks of beans that are hard and tasted burnt. What has become of this restaurant that used to be so delicious?!
We are now in line at another restaurant as our entire meal has been thrown away. I have stopped calling management at any restaurant. It does not fix the issue and it’s too late once we are back on the highway. When you leave and your order is wrong it is quite a hassle to get back in line to have it fixed. I knew better but again, I gave in to my children’s pleas for tacos. These are more like tacNOS! I implore the management to look at each food item in production and deem whether you would consume it yourself. I was taking this food home to feed my family and it was so pitiful I tossed it.
In addition, it would be wonderful if you didn’t shove an entire order into a small plastic sack. It just cheapens the experience.
This location looks closed when you drive by. Even with the neon “open” sign, I question whether it is indeed open. It looks so dark inside. We drive thru routinely to visit family and friends and we have had the same quality the last few visits.
I long for the Bueno of old!! Fresh food and...
Read moreIt is a shame, went through the drive thru around 7pm because they had shut and locked up the lobby already. The person on the employee took a long time to speak once I got to the speaker and seemed very unprofessional and not very knowledgable about the menu. I made my order and got to the window. The young employees inside were not behaving very professionally except for the young woman with them that came to the window to inform us there were no beans and no rice. She did however offer us some queso instead which we took. I am unsure who owns/operates this Taco Bueno but I dont think they are handling business very well. Anytime I have been there in the last month which has been about once a week, on taco tuesday, I have either come across unprofessional employees, they have been out of product, or they get my order wrong or leave out items all together. I have not once been able to go and just order and enjoy my meal without having to go back to get everything right. I am not usually that picky about my food and do not normally make such a stink but I expect more out of Bueno. It has been my favorite tex mex for over 40 years and here in Sapulpa they are very very lacking. They have pushed me over to Taco Bell, which has much less quality, but they seem to know how to handle their business. Please Bueno, do better. I want to see you thrive and succeed, but until things change me nor my family...
