This McDonald's has let me down before but this visit was ridiculous. Came through drive-thru, used the app and an employee yelled from 2nd window to pull through to 2nd window. Upon reaching window, we regarded that we forgot an order and would like to place one in addition. The employee stated that we would have to go back into the end of the line because they had a doordash and uber eats already behind us and they are alone and very busy. We offered to pull up and wait at the reserved spot, to wait our place in line, IT IS LITERALLY THE SAME THING. The employee said they could not do that. Any other McDonald's would have done so in my experience and we wouldn't have minded to wait. It would have been needless to go all the way back around. Unless they are trying to impress with window ticket times. I guess I can understand a late night graveyard crew behind "swamped" by 3 cars but then work smart not hard? The solution was simple and I'm sure McDonald's protocol would agree. That is a reasonable use of those reserved spots when behind orders. Ultimately what set us off was the reasoning that somehow Doordash and UberEats, a third party customer, was more important than physical customer with no cut from middle man at the window was somehow more important than us. We would have patiently waited and it would have been more efficient and effective use of time. But to drive tje way back around back in line? So silly! That was a first. Not that you care most likely but that order was lost and the business is to sell isn't it? Management please have a talk with staff about conflict resolution aka problem solving, efficiency and serving physical customers first. Customer is always right still? Customer satisfaction should be priority as well as quality and service. Shame on her for being "too busy" (her words) to serve us fully at a familiar McDonald's standard. However I do think this is a franchised McDonald's which would explain expectations. I'm sure corporate locations are more diligent with training and and protocol. To add, the fudge on our sundaes was cold, so the order they were able to complete was also a disappointment and failure. Did not manage to meet requirements expectations and much needed room for improvement. At my job I'm required to a set of standards as all jobs should be....
Read moreHorrible experience. Ordered on the app to pick up in drive thru. Was asked to park and someone would bring it out bc they wanted to clear the drive thru. My order was very basic and small and no reason to not just hand it out the window other than they don't want anyone sitting at the drive thru at all. The lady running the food out to the cars doesn't speak or read English and is relying on showing people the ticket on the bag and telling her if it is theirs or not. After about 15 minutes of waiting, she finally came to my car with an order that wasn't mine, showing me the ticket and asking if it was mine. it wasn't. So I went ahead and went inside to just get it myself bc it shouldn't take 30 minutes to get a small fry, small drink, and a burger at McDonald's. The runner came out from the kitchen with another bag and showed me the ticket and it wasn't mine either. So she took it outside and gave it to a car, and got a bag back from them and brought it in and asked if it was mine. It was. But I was sketched out about my food having been in some strangers car for the prior 5 minutes and very politely asked if it could be remade. Sofia refused. She pushed the bag across the counter at me and said "this is your food". I was SO polite. I reiterated that this food just came in from someone else's car and I wasn't comfortable eating from it, could they PLEASE just remake it. She said "no this is your food" again. I asked for a refund then. She told me "you ordered on the app and have to get your money back from the app" and then proceeded to walk away and act like I didn't exist. I left without my food and without my money back. Of course, you don't get your money back from the app, you have to get your refund from the location. Where I was refused my refund. I lost that $ altogether plus 6k points I had used towards a QP. 0/5 recommend this location. Sofia is by far the worst manager and shouldn't be managing anything. Better off just going up the street to the one on University or the one by SRQ on 41. The location on 41 is pretty good about accuracy and has a decent crew anytime we have gone there(reviewed). This particular location and employees are...
Read moreI recently used the drive-thru at my local McDonald's, and I had a great experience overall. I gave them 5 stars for their service. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient. From the moment I pulled up to the speaker, they greeted me with a warm smile (even though I couldn't see it!). They took my order quickly, and I felt like they really cared about getting it right. I appreciated how they made sure to repeat my order back to me to confirm everything was correct.
As for the food, I rated it 4 stars. The Big Mac I ordered was tasty, just like I expected. The fries were hot and crispy, and they had that perfect salty flavor. However, I felt that the burger could have been a bit fresher, as it wasn't as warm as I would have liked. Even so, it still hit the spot and satisfied my craving for McDonald's.
For the atmosphere, I gave it a 4 stars as well, even though I didn't dine in. The drive-thru area was clean, and it felt safe to be there. While I couldn't really enjoy the inside decor, I could tell that the restaurant was well-maintained and organized. I liked that everything was efficient in the drive-thru lane, making it easy for cars to move quickly without long waits.
In short, my experience at McDonald's drive-thru was a pleasant one. The fantastic service made my visit memorable, and the food was just what I wanted, even if it wasn't perfect. I do plan to return for a quick meal in the future, especially for those...
