Perq Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Sarasota

This is a counter-review because of another review, posted by Andrew B. His review should be about two reviews down from this one. I am a recurring customer of Perq because of their great quality in all they offer, from the drinks, to the food, to the vegan options... even a chocolate bar I thought was ordinary, turned out to be nothing but ordinary (the company that makes it has received some kind of awards)... Andrew left a poor review based in one factor... their service speed... he never tasted the coffee or the food... (or that incredible chocolate bar!) Perq isn’t know for their speed, but for the perfection that goes Into every item they sell. The person taking orders, who also makes the drinks, it’s one of the owners, who is passionate about coffee, and the art and science of behind it. He actually mesures every ingredient to an incredibly accuracy for every cup he makes... even the temperature in which he brews his coffee is completely controlled...every time! Yes, just like a scientist at work. This results in reliability... you always know you’ll have something great! Another interesting fact: the whole wooden bar was designed and handmade by him. The person inside the kitchen, preparing the great food that sadly reviewer “Andrew” didn’t get to try, is prepared by the other owner herself... Her food creations are delightful and the fact that she has options for those with special diets makes this place even better. In short... the owners Keith and Erin, husband and wife, they are fully committed to the quality of everything they offer, and I believe that’s more important than serving quickly. I was overwhelmed by the unique menu when I walked into Perq my first time. I explained to the man what I normally drink (latte with flavors) and he gave me his alternative (flat white, slightly sweet). I actually like it so much better than my usual. Their espresso flavor is so smooth. I went in with confidence a couple more times, knowing what to order now. I was greeted by the same smiling man with a friendly and professional demeanor each time I went in. I watched as he took care of his regular customers with rememberence of their "usual" orders. After a few visits I tried one of their breakfast specials to go... Toast with avacado, radishes, shaved boiled egg, and delicious spices. I've never had anything like it before and I loved it!! All of the flavors melded perfectly. The lady who brought it out had the same friendly attitude and great smile. After a couple more visits, I tried their "Ham Sammy" which was spiced deliciously with such unique flavors. Their menu is worth every penny. Unfortunately I won't be on that end of town in the mornings anymore, but I will definitely make an effort to go back again if I end up with a morning available. They're worth the drive for me. The place is good and coffe a very good taste, but?.. Mr. Zolner Keith. This is Erick,Just to let you know you and you brother Mark still own me almost $3400.DLS, of $3800.00 I decide to stop here, just to Remind you is almost 5 years and I still waiting for my money for Work I do on lollipop cakes, where I work almost a year straight day for you to get you job done before open this place ,painting inside outside and even doing seal on roof all this for this price... .... so ,I ask when you and you brother will sending to me my money ? ..even your lawyer is not working at all because he don't contact me yet to get paid, I still have waiting for my check from you , I put a Lean on your records including Mr MARK your brother ... he never answer my phone calls ..so when I get paid I will remove everything from your websites and the lean .. ..... this is not good way to do business...
