Sailor Circus — Attraction in Sarasota

I've waited for over a year to post this review. I debated about whether or not to post this because I didn't want anyone to think this negative review was aimed in any way at the talented artists and students here.

After seeing a mind-blowing show here, I spoke to some of the parents who have kids going here. I asked if it was volunteer or if the kids were paid somehow for their performances. I was blown away to learn that not only are these kids not rewarded for their talents here, but the guardians have to pay thousands of dollars to send their kids here. I couldn't remember the exact amount, so I Googled it. It seems the Sailor Circus Academy has done a good job of scrubbing Google of the exact or typical amount that a student pays.

I don't understand how anyone thinks it's okay to have people, especially young people, pay to come to your business and then use those people to create a product that you then sell and you share none of the profits with those people. It's a hideous, nasty business philosophy and...

World class talented coaches. Top of the line facility. Strong history and roots in a city where Ringling circus was founded. For the youth there is a gold troupe that is less rigorous and novice to intermediate,.. and a red troupe that is intermediate to advanced (and by invitation only) the red trip puts on ongoing performances throughout the year. And the gold troop usually the performs one to two times per 6 months.

Just leaving a performance of the Sailor Circus. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! If you have not seen this circus you will be amazed. The performers in this Circus are between the ages of 8 and 18 years old! These kid performers are all heart put 100% into their shows and really know how to scare the you know what out of you.
