We love going here for lunch. The food is good, but great, but the service and atmosphere are always really good. The two for one drink specials make it very affordable! Kids eat free and the tables being "papered" make it the perfect spot to bring our grandson! I'm editing an older post because of my experience a couple days ago. We arrived in Friday about 12:15 for lunch. There were only three tables sat and two servers on plus someone working in the bar area while we were there. I didn't know what our server was doing, but she certainly didn't have her mind on her job. She never came over to see how our food came out or if we needed anything. I had to ask the person working the bar for a water when my grandsons glass was empty, I never got the water I asked for when I ordered my drink, I had to ask another server for dipping sauce for the chicken tenders, etc ... I could go on but it was just really poor service. If this was it first time going, we wouldn't go back. We usually have good food and great service. If you go and have the same experience we had Friday, give it another try. It's unusually great. Don't judge a restaurant on the just one experience from poor service. We all have bad days. I did leave a 20% tip. I hope she used it to invest in more training! I had the fish and chips and they were great. My grandson had chicken tenders. The breading on his tenders was a little too crunchy and we had to brake it off for him to eat it. Maybe they were a little over cooked? If only I had a server come by I could have had...
Read morewent to a sister restaurant yesterday and had a terrible experience with fish that was not fresh, so the manager gave us a coupon. instead of returning there, we decided to try pinchers an affiliate . my wives grouper was like leather and wasnt hot and my grouper sandwich was really fishy and had a strong smell. we really felt like having a good fish dinner, so we decided to buy a piece of black grouper from the market and when we got home and opened the bag, the fish stink was awful, so they are plainly selling fish that is beyond its date because everything we had at both restaurants is very poor quality fish that all had a smell of oldness to them. at both places their answer is, "well nobodies complained about this before" yet the reviews show it differently... i believe top tier fish restaurants get fish in the same day or next day , so their fish is fresher, but places like this (lower tier fish restaurants) buy fish that is older and therefore cheaper and if they stretch it a day or so after that, now you have fish that is just at the end of its freshness and you can clearly tell by the awful smell . place is also kind of dirty , so they dont care about quality and cleanliness . shame on this place for not...
Read moreEdit: Went here after a bad day, and the meal really lifted up our spirits with how good the food was. Ordered fried calamari for the first time here, and it tasted SO good with their marinara sauce that they elevated somehow. They give enough sauce for all the calamari that was fried to perfection. I've never been so happy with an appetizer. The portion of snapper was huge and enough for me to have a generous second meal out of it. Love their mashed potatoes so much.
I've never had a bad experience at Pinchers, and I've eaten here at least a dozen times. I had not been here since before the pandemic though, and prices are much higher now than I last remember, as is true mostly everywhere. Only ordered appetizers and a dessert for 2 during happy hour, and the bill was about 60 bucks without any entrees. The fried key lime pie is definitely something to try at least once. It doesn't resemble a slice of pie - basically it looks like fried ice cream but has that characteristic creamy sweet and tart flavor. I came back recently and they now offer the Beyond burger, which I was so happy and excited about, and its taste and texture was...
