Today my favorite local restaurant let me down. We have been going to Jimmys for years and years and have never ever been treated the way we were today.
Today we put a Man to rest and our plan was to go to Jimmys for lunch because it was his favorite restaurant to eat at.
We did call ahead day prior to give them a heads up and understood that they didn’t take reservations. We had about 30 of us, this was a very sudden death and we had zero time to plan anything so we did our best in letting Jimmys know our plan.
We came straight from the cemetery, most family members were extremely exhausted and mentally drained. Molly the manager on duty was extremely rude to everyone and acted like we were a burden for even showing up. Most of us have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. We know the situation our industry is in and what covid has done, and how extremely understaffed EVERYONE is.
We were in zero hurry and understood we wouldn’t be able to sit together at one table. We just wanted to eat at his favorite restaurant to celebrate him.
The way Molly acted and treated everyone in the group who just got done barring their Father was not only unprofessional but very unkind and shocking to someone who has managed a restaurant.
Our server was a rock star and the food was amazing as usual! We won’t stop coming here but I hope this may reflect that everyone is struggling and going through something we may not know about and that we should always be kind…
Dena we spoke to a girl and she told us she would write a note for management. If we were told you could not accommodate us we wouldn’t have came. We were not expecting anything or any special treatment. Parts of the group were not rude or demanding they just asked a few questions. We would never expect anyone to move from there seats to accommodate us, that comment is just childish. Your general manager was rude and I’m not here to...
Read moreWe stopped by for supper on 2/22/20. My Husband, sister , brother in law and myself. It was about 750 pm when we got there and it was busy. We asked for a booth which was dirty when we sat down. That was understandable as they were busy. When the waitress arrived she asked what we wanted for drinks, we gave our order and before she walked away I asked for her to wipe the table. She said she would be right back. She was gone for some time then brought drinks and proceeded to walk away and I asked her to please wipe the table. Again some time later returned and very quickly wiped the table and spun around as we said thank you and she just walked away. We all look at each other it was very clear she was not happy. It took another 30- 40 mins for the food. When she dropped the food off my sister and her husband asked for water. The water didn’t show up till we were 3/4 of the way done with our meal. Now during all these long periods of time we waited she was helping other customers but also visiting with coworkers. I don’t believe she was in any hurry to help us. Every time she came back to the table you could see her attitude. After she dropped the tab off she went to the far side of the and again was visiting with people . The bill was incorrect as my brother in law ordered tots and got fries. He chose to just eat them as we didn’t have another 20 to 30 minutes to wait for it to be fixed . We just hoped it was the same amount of money, but of course not. We waited for another 10 minutes or so and the whole time she cont to visit across the bar paying no mind to us. Needless to say we won’t be going back. She was the worst waitress I personally have ever encountered . I don’t know her name, I don’t remember her even telling us what it was. Maybe that was on purpose. She needs to find a new job , maybe something away...
Read moreThe service has gone down hill. We used to eat here a few times a week but now tables are dirty and service is slow. Even had to get our own menus last time and they were not busy but had many employees standing around. Once you have your food your server works on rolling silverware while engaging in personal conversation with fellow employees making it impossible to order refills or other drinks. We were unable to order a second plate of chicken during an all you can eat chicken night because of this. From our table we could watch the kitchen which we witness the manager taking fries from a plate before it was serve to a customer. We will no longer give gift certificates to all family members for Christmas presents as we have done every year in the past. Not sure what happened but there is differently room for improvement. UPDATE: Im not looking for anything from Jimmys but i want to point out something. There was no way to respond to the owners remark. I was reading reviews and noticed most reviews such as mine were asked to be given a second chance (offering GC). We gave them another chance without needing the gift card because Jimmys is/was our "special place". Refocus your training on customer service. Normally we can split the fries and onion rings in the meals. 12-14-17 @7pm our fries were less then mcdonalds kids meals. I had 5 onion rings, 2 so small they were both stuck inside the same larger one. Very greasy & almost warm. We only tried again because of the personal special meaning jimmys has for us, thats why we visited 3 times a week. (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) sometimes more. But the owner response was let us know..... Believe me, i mentioned my concerns to the male manager with a simple "ok" response and then he went back to his meal at the bar. I bet...
