I and my family have been eating at David fong's since back in the day when the Mom and Dad on the one in Bloomington. I live in prior Lake I was eating at the location over here in prior Lake then yelled at by Cindy's husband there. Started eating over at the Savage location The brother owns this one have had very good experiences for the most part up until last evening. I told the girl on the phone when I was placing my order she treated me as if I was new making my order I like two sweet and sour sauce per egg roll I said I needed a total a packets My son decided to order a set of egg rolls as well so making three orders of egg rolls I then proceed to ask for 10 packets she made a big stink about it wanted me to get the house sweet and sour I told her no I would like 10 packets she deliberately puts only eight packets in my bag when my son went to pick the food up I realized there was only a packets. We only got two quarts of rice me being that I paid for one of the courts got my one for the egg foo young but never got the one for my $17.50 order of sweet and sour chicken.so they dooked me on two sweet sour packets a quarter rice and then robbed me by $2!. They chose to go in and put their own tip I deliberately asked her the total as I do everywhere I go she told me my total was $62.10 I called up there while my son was driving to pick our food up and ask for an additional receipt sure enough just what I expected there was an additional $1.98 adjustment on my bill they went and put their own tip on now remind you this is not the one that my son signed cuz my son drew a line through the area being that they overcharged for Asian food as it is and times are tough for everybody I chose this day not to tip unless I'm dining in I do not tip. I waitress for many years and I know that it's very deserving to receive a tip. Begging up my food after overcharging me I'm not going to tip so I did not appreciate them just taking my money the way that they did I'm going to put these pictures on to show you the picture of both receipts I'm beside myself that they just help themselves to my money. My husband had a stroke his feet removed and all been put on dialysis all during the last 4 years times are tough for everybody who the hell did they think they were stealing for me? I guess it will not allow me to add the pictures of the receipts this is a shame. I guess people just get away with...
Read moreI visited the original David Fong's a long time ago with my dad when we were in the cities for new years. We both remembered the restaurant for some of the best Chinese food we have had. Unfortunately the original restaurant closed, but the food still lives up to the memory here.
I came for dinner on a Friday night and was able to be seated instantly. All of the staff was very friendly, the food is very affordable and you get a large portion too. I ordered a dinner combo (chicken chow mein and egg foo young) along with an order of egg rolls. Everything was extremely delicious.
Take note that the yellow sauce accompanying the eggs rolls is hot mustard and not a special house sauce (don't dunk your egg roll in it unless you also wish to have an accidental out of body experience).
I will surely be returning with my dad to try many more dishes in any future visits to...
Read moreWhen I walked into the restaurant, I noticed right away that the crowd was made up entirely of older white diners—I didn’t see a single Asian customer. That gave me an immediate “oh no” feeling. We ordered the dinner combo with chicken lo mein. The egg rolls were pretty standard, nothing special. The fried rice tasted like plain soy sauce mixed with rice; you could still see clumps of white rice stuck together, and the flavor was very bland—blander than the fried rice you’d find at a typical Chinese buffet. The chicken lo mein was much the same: just soy sauce flavor, with chicken that had no real taste to it. Overall, the food felt watered down, clearly catering to a non-Asian palate. Honestly, this might be the plainest Chinese food...
