I've been to this particular location a few times and it's never been exceptionally clean, but last night when I went in, I couldn't believe the staff was ignoring the disaster area that was the dining room. The whole place was a mess. Trash everywhere, on tables, on the floor. There was so much food and crumbs on the floor it looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. EVERY table was dirty. The condiment option sign had fallen and was hanging by it's corner. In the cookie case was a greasy brown paper bag that had fallen and was stuck in the rack, pressed up against the glass. The deli meats were unwrapped and tossed sloppily in the case, which also had crumpled napkins, mustard packets, and some other trash in it. I was so astounded by the mess I couldn't help but to tell one of the guys working there how dirty it was in there, he was pretty rude, rolled his eyes and said "we're bout to clean it up". I understand if they were busy and didn't have time, but there were THREE guys working there and only me and one other customer. One guy made the sandwiches while the other 2 just kind've meandered around, not acting like they were in a hurry to get things in order. I'm not usually very critical of restaurants, but I couldn't believe the service, the mess, and the general lack of caring by the staff....
Read moreNo. Just no. "New Management"? They should have renamed this to "Baldino's House of Horrors". Came in, realized that I had something gross from the door handle on my hands, went to the restroom, washed my hands, and left without ordering food to wash my hands again somewhere else as the bathroom was just nasty. Every surface is visibly dirty, including the person behind the register. Food equipment visible from the front counter is filthy dirty, including the countertop slicer used to slice meat for sandwiches. Observed multiple food safety issues, with cross contamination being observed at least 6 times during my brief visit. Floors are dirty, with grime, debris and dead insects swept into corners. Windows and glass doors are filthy with fingerprints and greasy smudges. The nozzles of the soda fountain are visibly dirty, and even the front counter and register are coated with an aged patina of grime. The Doordash stickers being used as tape to hold up the passive-aggressive, mis-spelled handwritten signs on office paper stuck up everywhere are the icing on the cake. No food safety inspection certificate...
Read moreCame in at 5:30 PM on a Thursday. Why does this place smell like urinal cakes when you walk in the door? It's so strong you can taste it. What are they covering up with such a strong air freshener smell? Dead bodies? Is it the body odor of the unkempt, unprofessional looking employees that are playing with each other and dancing around to rap music behind the counter? Perhaps it is the aged debris from today's (yesterday's too?) sandwiches that needs to be cleaned up. I came here years ago and it always smelled like fresh bread and it was worn and faded but clean. Now, I am greeted with an unbearable stench of air freshener, appalling customer service with a side of attitude, sticky floors and dirty fixtures everywhere, a FILTHY slicer and prep area, a nasty soda fountain that clearly has not been cleaned in a long time. The bathroom (ironically, the only part of the place that didn't have that air freshener smell) was dirty, had an empty soap dispenser, and had insects present. Sad what this place...
