My spouse and I called in an order at Ihop on Victory Dr., in Savannah, GA at 9:44 PM and at 10:15 PM we had not received our order. The waitress told him at 10 PM that our carryout would be really in a few minutes and the cook was preparing it. From 10:15 to 11 PM, no food. My spouse questioned the waitress again about our order. She brushed him off and expected us to keep waiting. At that point, we asked for a refund and the waitress stated, "you don't have to get an attitude". It went left from there. While we were waiting, the waitress boyfriend, drove up on his motorcycle, she went outside to meet him. She brought him back inside and took him to the kitchen. He sprung from the kitchen with a large grocery bag, filled with food. He went outside to leave, (I thought). My spouse was so upset because we felt like the reason our food was not prepared, was because the waitress was seeing that her boyfriend order was filled first. My spouse went outside and asked the guy, "is that your girlfriend inside". He said, yes. I was still inside waiting to receive our refund. There was never an apology for our food never being prepare and our wait time! I exited the restaurant with our $25 refund. My spouse was sitting in our car when I was getting in. The waitress boyfriend approached our car and asked, "did you tell my girlfriend fu** her"? The waitress called him on the her cellphone or work phone from inside and told her boyfriend, what she did not hear and my spouse did not say. This was a tense situation, getting ready to go extremely bad!! It took all of my strength to keep my spouse in our car! If someone would have gotten hurt or murdered, it would have been the waitress fault! She turned a not so good situation, to a extremely bad situation real quick!! I am telling my story because tensions are high due to the pandemic we are facing. It was unprofessional for the waitress to do what she did. Her boyfriend was not a staff member at the restaurant, she was. Before the pandemic, my family ate there many times. Because of the unprofessionalism shown to us, we will not eat at that Ihop again. I will be calling Ihop corporate office. We kept looking in our review mirror to make sure her boyfriend was not following us when we left because words were exchanged. This should be a lesson to Ihop and other places of business. Companies pay staff on the low end, and the customer/consumer get low end service!! Ihop and other places of business,, hire people with no etiquette skills, you get what you pay for (STREET WALKERS). Which is a better word for TRASH! Oh, by the way, I am 100% sure the food that the waitress boyfriend came to pick up was not paid for, as a staff member at the restaurant later told us. STEALING food and no etiquette, that's a bad situation!! This restaurant is not worth rating!!...
Read moreI don’t complain about much, but food is something serious. I went in to pick up my order and the atmosphere was good, but the people at the desk act very weird. The older lady acted like I was an enemy when I asked bout my order (which I could’ve made 10 times better myself, I cook) I ordered the steak omelette and Mac and cheese plus a fruit bowl. The presentation of the omelette in the to go dish looked like when you drop ice cream on the floor and the steak had that beefy smell which is normal but smelled too much like piss. The Mac and cheese surprisingly was Mac n Water. I get it, if you don’t bake it you can boil it, drain it and add the cheese with butter, mayo or milk..whichever you choose but somebody forgot to drain it properly. It’s very offensive to spend money on a meal that wasn’t cooked with passion and attention to detail. Don’t waste food..it’s not a 5 star gourmet restaurant but food is food bro.Food is not something to waste when you cook, you don’t just make trash and give that to somebody to eat bro, that’s weird..sloppy. The staff needs to understand it’s okay to not gaf bout a job, but there’s a professional way to do it, trust me. You can not gaf and still be very functional in a workplace. It’s not hard..all in all I don’t think I’ll be returning to this location..sure it’s a business but if your food is trash that’s not good for business now innit? I could’ve cooked this myself but I was lazy today and btw I could’ve ate a 5 star meal for $10 in Europe vs the $23 I paid for whatever that was at this location..this isn’t to offend anyone..its motivation. Be the standard, the Chefs should thrive, be creative, be passionate, and when they do that bro give them the credit so that they...
Read moreWorst ihop EVER!!! We ordered at the same time as another table, and it took 30 mins to get our food, and theirs came out in like 10-15 mins. They got LITERALLY EVERY ORDER WRONG! We ordered a Jr Mac n cheese, then a bacon temptation (no tomatoes), chicken tender plate, Colorado omlete, & smokehouse breakfast combo (NO hashbrown with extra eggs). & my mom came later on maybe 10-15 mins after order and got a spicy pablona (wateva it is) but NO BEEF turkey bacon & sausage. We got a Jr. tender, Mac n cheese only (NO applesauce), she gave the bacon temptation to my mom (which was for my oldest daughter), my mom got her omlette with only the turkey sausage, there was hair on my pancake, then they brought out the bacon temptation again but this time it was with turkey bacon AND AGAIN with hair on it. Our waiter I won't say rude but she wasn't really our waiter. She was on the phone, had headphones in, flirting with the guy waiter, & didn't even check on us while we was waiting for our food or ANY TIME! I spoke to the manager there about the problems I was having and she wasn't didn't even apologize for the kitchen or the waiter or tried really helping us, besides getting our food right. NEVER AGAIN will we visit this ihop and our order came up to $100 before the comp ONE THING off 6 different plates they literally messed up EVERY SINGLE one of them except my husband's plate that came out right on the FIRST try. Or and the food we got on the 1st round was cold like it's been sitting...
