My coworkers and I ordered Hiranos for lunch today, as we sometimes do. When we opened our takeout boxes we immediately noticed a very unpleasant odor. We could not quite pin point the cause of the odor, whether it be the rice or the chicken. When we called to explain the situation to the restaurant, we were told the meat shipment was fresh and the rice was just cooked this morning. We were told no one else complained today, and they offered to replace the rice and that was all. When asked if we were expected to pick our meat out of the fried rice and add it to the new rice, we were apologized to and told it was their policy and that the best they could do was give us new rice since we had originally suggested that maybe it was the rice that was the problem. The smell was too terrible to ignore. None of us were able to eat our lunches and the restaurant refused to correct the problem appropriately. We will not be ordering...

However, I have noticed a trend of the portions getting way smaller⬇️ and the prices going up⬆️ every time I turn around. I get it, Covid and inflation (getting old at this point) but dang, $48 for two dinners is getting a bit much. The meal last night was such a small portion I had to get a late night snack afterwards. Also found out it doesn't come with a soup and salad any more. Only got one soup for two...
Read moreI have to defend the "daughter" mentioned in a previous review...I have NEVER been treated badly at this restaurant...by any of the staff. My husband and I go about twice a month and we are always greeted and treated warmly. The food is perfect, the prices are affordable and the staff is wonderful! Don't let one "bad apple" reviewer (that sounds like he has a personal vendetta towards the "daughter) spoil this perfect little spot to eat. Go enjoy some...
