Our first visit to Locās and we were quite disappointed. This was to be a treat for our family outing, instead it was a hassle. We waited for a table, the restaurant was very busy but it wasnāt a terrible wait. We got to our table and ordered. Server was nice. It was going well. Theeeeennnn it went downhill. We had to ask and wait for silverware. We received our kids food long before we received mine. In fact, it was at minimum 20 minutes between them. Our kids finished eating long before my food arrived. It came out wrong but I kept it because I wasnāt waiting again. 8 minutes after my food arrived we were still waiting on my husbandās food. When we asked about it we were told it would be out soon. My husband just cancelled his order because we had waited so long already. I rushed to eat what I could of my food so that everyone wasnāt waiting on me at this point. We asked for ranch and honey mustard and got honey mustard and ketchup. Drinks were never refilled and before we left our server finally asked what we needed and we had to request a drink refill. We also had to request that our childrenās food be reheated because their macaroni and cheese was cold. Their macaroni and cheese is cheap like boxed Mac in a small bowl portion. Anyway, it was a disappointment and even with my husbandās meal taken off our ticket was still $50 before tip. The manager comped our bill after asking us how it was at check-out. We offered to pay it and he declined. So, at least he was willing to take care of the issue and will hopefully speak with staff about quality control. Iām not sure if we will be back. The place is new and I kind of want to give them time to get it together but my husband was super disappointed and unhappy. The food wasnāt terrible but Iām really curious about their consistency. Oh, and the table next to us was seated long before we were and we got our food long before they did. The table across from us was also having...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered over $50 worth of food. When I went to pick up my food, I noticed that I was only given one bag (I ordered for 3 people) when I asked where was my other bag of food with an omelette, a waffle and an egg (all missing) I was told by the cashier (Asian woman) that I already had my omelette and then she proceeded to point at the grits on the plate that I was given. I said this isnāt an omelette this is grits. She continued to point at the grits insisting that the omelette was under the grits. When I provided her with proof that there was not an omelette under the grits she then proceeded to ask the guy who originally handed me my plate ādid you give her two bagsā as if I was lying about my 2nd missing bag of food. The guy said no I only gave her 1 bag and then she turns to me and says āmaāam I am sorryā and hands me my other bag of food with the omelette waffle and egg. Then when I got home I realized they cheated me out of an egg. I ordered two eggs and only got one. I felt like she accused me of being dishonest because they think everyone is out to get something free and thatās just not the case. I have spent a lot of money with Locs but after this experience of being accused of being dishonest and in front of a crowd of people, I will never eat there ever again. They are very discriminating against certain people and itās disgusting! I wouldnāt recommend them to anyone, itās a shame that she (Asian woman) would treat a loyal customer so poorly because of her own greed and personal biases....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo let me just start by saying, this wasn't my normal experience with Loc's, but I'm disgusted with the food I was just given.
Normally, I think of Loc's as a great local breakfast/brunch spot. The atmosphere is a little lacking, but the service and the food normally more than make up for it. This morning, I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese biscuit and 3 sweet cream pancakes for carryout with GrubHub. My food took 1hr and 20 mins to arrive, but I know that's on the GrubHub driver since I watched him putz around the area in the app for a full hour before going to actually grab my food.
No, what I'm mostly mad about is my breakfast biscuit. Usually, I don't unwrap my biscuit completely since the flaky bread tends to break apart easily, so I didn't notice anything unusual until I took my first bite. My biscuit was STALE. Not it's been sitting out for a few hours and got cold-stale, rather literally hard enough to smack on my knuckles and not break, multiple days old kinda stale.
I'm glad at least my pancakes were fresh, yummy, and spongy, but serving your customers dry, stale biscuits is just unacceptable. The biscuit tasted awful and I feel sick wondering how many days it's been sitting out to get that firm. There's no way someone didn't notice how dusty and crusty that biscuit was when it was cut in...
