this is a hidden gem. it is a little hole in the wall Chinese takeaway restaurant. the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. the service is friendly enough a usually very fast. I pay eight dollars for a dish and usually get two meals out of it. the only down side is that it is in a really filthy area of Savannah. Outdoor litter is absolutely everywhere. this will no doubt put some people put off but it is hardly the people in the restaurants fault. it is the neighborhood. To the folks who live here a garbage can is anywhere you finish something.
2 years later. They have definitely fallen off a bit as is the case with most fast food joints. The prices are getting ever higher and the food id just not as good as it once was. I downgrade them from 4 stars to 3.
Decided to give the place one more chance. Wish I had not. The only thing this place ever had going for it was its delicious and reasonable priced food. They no longer have this to their credit. The food has entered the realm of disgusting. Also the place is filthy. Order fried shrimp and house special fried rice for my last meal there. The shrimp were so hard the batter actually hurt my mouth to eat. The fried riced was its own kind of disgusting. They are now 1 star ...
Read moreThe only thing I eat from here is chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. My most recent visit (12/20/2020) disappointed me. I ordered three plate of 4piece chicken wings and shrimp fried rice and they gave me three wings and huge drumsticks in in the two boxes to the bottom and they gave me the 4piece wing plate on the top. I humbly went in there and told them the problem and he had the nerve to say , " well its two drumsticks, You can't eat drum sticks" I couldn't believe it. I told him, "give me what I ordered and not what you want me to have". The man really wanted me to hand him the drumsticks back to him through the window and im like I can throw them away infront of you because there's a pandemic which i did, just so he can give me my two chicken...
Read moreIf you travel to and from downtown Savannah via Montgomery Street, you have probably seen this small take-out only dining establishment one block north of Victory Boulevard. Someone always appears to waiting for food, so I decided to stop by for lunch and check the place out. I ordered lemon pepper wings and fried rice. The staff was friendly, kitchen area appeared clean and lunch was quickly prepared. The meal is about what I expected. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. The rice did not stick together but could have used some salt and pepper. Not great tasting food but far from tasting bad, Ming Garden fits the bill if you want to fill your stomach during the day or...
