What a terrible experience. Was waiting with my husband and son for service and one of the employees walked up and put up a closed sign without saying a word to us. I would never recommend one person to experience this rude service regardless of how good their pizza is their service is disgusting.
Response to owner: Thank you for responding to our previous review. My husband and I each wrote a review to provide clear feedback from a customer’s perspective, as we both experienced the same level of service during our recent visit to your establishment.
This wasn’t our first time at Starland Yard; we had a pleasant experience during our first visit, which made the recent encounter more disappointing. On our latest visit, we found ourselves waiting in line with our baby. Despite three employees passing by, none acknowledged us. The situation worsened when the cashier saw us, flipped the sign to ‘closed’, and carried on without informing us when they would reopen.
A simple explanation, like mentioning a reopening in 30 minutes, would have kept us there. We felt ignored, and the assumption that we were first-timers added to the disappointment.
We appreciate the steps you’re taking to address the service issue and hope that future visitors, eager to try your food, won’t face such situations. Effective communication can significantly enhance customer...
Read moreI’m giving three stars since I think they have potential as well as when we visited earlier in the day my sister and sister-in-law did enjoy their pizza but when we went back later on, it went downhill unfortunately. Im not sure if it was because it was an hour and a half before closing but the second round of pizza was disappointing. We ordered the crudo and as shown in the picture, it was to be topped with dressed greens. As you can see in the picture, their interpretation of dressed greens is a clump of basil? Im unsure if they ran out of said dressed greens, or if they need to modify their menu to reflect that it is fresh basil instead, but in my opinion and others that I have asked basil isn’t a dressed green.
Aside from that it was on the dry side and probably would have benefited from the absent dressed greens. We didn’t end up even finishing the pizza with how disappointing it was. For the price I was expecting a higher quality pizza but this unfortunately failed expectations which is truly a bummer since my sisters raved about them the first time enough at lunch for us to go...
Read moreWhen I first saw this was an authentic Italian wood fire pizza restaurant. I was super excited to try it. Although I had to wait around until five o'clock for them to open. So when I came in and placed my order, I actually told a couple of the pizza chefs, the and I've been to Italy and taken a wood fire pizza cooking class in Tuscany. And shared some photos. I ordered a basic margarita, I added pistachios and some balsamic on the side. 15 minutes later, I got a text that my order was ready. Open up to the window, install a charred. Very dry looking sad pizza. I said I can't eat that. It's too burnt, to which the young lady at the the window said they're all like that because they're cooked on a stove. Again? I said I can't eat that. It's too burnt, no apology. No, nothing she turned around and walked away. I waited 20 additional minutes hoping to have dinner? Which never okay, I then canceled my order and left ..... I'm not sure. Really. What's going on here? But it's a really great opportunity, so I do not recommend it's a...
