I entered the parking lot & it was a gravel/concrete slap concrete mixture. Cars were parked in no particular order & parked everywhere around the building. Customers didn't care where they parked (one even parked behind me partially blocking me in & one was parked in the driveway where people turn in to get into the restaurant).

I got up to the window & placed my order. It was bit difficult to hear the person behind the glass who was taking my order. I ordered a supreme fish combo. My order came out relatively fast. I sat down & tasted some of my fries. They weren't even hot & barely lukewarm. They were also overcooked & there were burnt ones underneath the pile of fries. I was thrown off by the two pieces of wheat bread for the sandwich.

The fish itself was ok. It wasn't hot, just lukewarm & lacked salt. I did end up having to pick fish bones out of my mouth that I wasn't anticipating as I ate my sandwich. The sauce that they give is ok & the juice that they give is ok too. Nothing special about either one.

Pros: Food was made fast. The restaurant is easy to find. Price was fair. I paid $10 for my combo (sandwich with two pieces of fish, fries, & a juice)

Cons: Food was lukewarm. Food wasn't fresh. Parking is challenging (if customers are parking anywhere they please.)

Will I return for a second time?...

Came all the way from Tabor City, North Carolina just to be disappointed!! I see why Daym eyes were dim on the episode when he tasted the fish. The fries are hard and dried out. Not to mention the fries came in a 8 oz foam cup. Also, where is the crab meat that should be in the crab burger? It was mushy, cornmeal bread that wasn’t even fried. Fresh caught fish? Stop the lies the fish came straight from the frozen section of Walmart. McDonald’s fish taste better. Not only did you not get your food in a tray they put our drinks in bags. Then the Shabazz juice is just Koolaid with the extra sugar. The Shabazz sauce is just Mayo, mustard and old bay seasoning with a pinch of sugar. Instead of being on Fresh, Fried and Crispy they should’ve been on Chef Ramsey for tips. I’m angry and have to laugh at myself at the same time because Daym never really said it was good. My sister is still nauseous from the crab-less crab...

This is definitely my first stop when I go home to Savannah. It's not only great food but a landmark in the community. It's conveniently located not far from downtown or the center of the city. However, I was extremely disappointed they closed earlier than advertised online. I drove all the way from Charlotte mouth, watering to find out no one was responding at the window. I pray all was well and nothing bad happened that evening as I've never had this issue previously. But it's worth another shot. Next time I'm coming in the daytime like usual. Believe me when I say it's worth every bit of my drive over all these years I spent in the military and away from home. I've traveled the world and there's no place like home. So get you a Supreme Combo or order some shrimp 🍤. If you're like me, get both. The juice 😋 is what everyone orders....

I will not revisit this establishment simply because they were not open on the times posted. I visited on 1/3/25. The hours stated on google that they would be open at 12 pm. We arrived at 11:30 and waited. At 12, the owner and staff were no where to be found. At this point there is a line... 12:30, the place still was not open. We took our money elsewhere. Black owned businesses make it hard to support them when they don't have a clue on how to run a business. So much money left that day and I'm sure they don't care and still have an attitude. They should've never had this place on Fresh Fried and Crispy. Read the negative reviews, they're definitely true.

I'd been meaning to try it but hadn't yet and when I saw it on Fresh Fried and Crispy I knew I had to go. My dad and I split the two item combo, fish and shrimp. Also came with fries and a salad. Wait was pretty short. It's a bit hard to hear them through the window setup they have to order. Everything was fresh, good temperature, the fries were really good. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, no rubber shrimp here! The fish wasn't my absolute favorite, I prefer cod but it was still good and I'd definitely eat there again. It also came with one sauce - order two if you dip your fries or you'll run out.
