I've been to this place three or four times, and each time I've had different yet good experience. I've tried the green tea, taro, and mango bobas. They are all phenomenal, however sometimes the boba isn't cooked all the way through. This doesn't bother me texture wise but it may bother others. The tea is a Jasmine I believe, at least that's what it tastes like, and is to die for! It's the right amount of floral and fruity. The fresh spring roles and fried egg rolls are amazing, the spring roles have the right amount of crunch and balance between vegetables and the fried egg rolls have a thin shell and are sooo crispy. Love them. I've tried 4 entrees, the pad Thai, Tofu pho, tofu curry with rice, and stir fry with pan fried noodles. For clarification, I am not Vietnamese and do not know what authentic vietnamese food tastes like. I am giving my opinion as an outsider. The pad Thai was amazing, everything was perfectly cooked and flavors complimented other flavors in the most amazing way, 10/10. The same goes for the tofu Pho, which is a very large portion, 10/10. The stir fry with fried noodles was subpar, there were a lot of vegetables but almost 10x the amount of fried noodles, which weren't that crispy, 6/10. The tofu curry with rice was okay-ish, the rice was shaped like a heart, I assume because it's Valentine's Day which is absolutely adorable. The dish itself heavily tastes chicken bouillon cubes and overwhelms all the other flavors. It was also neon yellow/green. To be fair, I much prefer Indian curries, which are heavy with diverse flavors and spices, so I may be biased but it's a solid 3/10. The service is always amazing, staff are extremely nice and friendly. Food delivers quick and hot. The area has a very nice atmosphere which greatly contrasts the outside look of the building, however it is decorated nicely and cutely in a seemingly authentic way. Doesn't feel stuffy at all inside and has a very...
Read moreFinally able to try this place after finding it was closed several times because of the early close time. Literal hole in the wall place, but fairly pleasant inside. Was surprised or pleased that it appeared all the clients were Vietnamese, that usually means they know where the good stuff are. Got the $13 meatball pho and the bubble tea. The broth was very standard (in a good way) to what I would expect, so I am happy about that. The meatballs seemed to be cut thinner like perhaps it's all the same meatball but with the illusion that I'm getting more. The bean sprouts and cilantro seemed kind of dry and wilted, but I'm not going to be a snob about that. I would imagine it is hard to get this type of product out here. All in all, I'd come back for the pho if the schedule aligns. The boba tea was made in a normal cup instead of one of those sealed plastic cups with the stick on top. While not a deal breaker, first I've ever experienced that anywhere in my life. The ice at the bottom made it difficult to get to any of the tapioca with the straw. Texture was a bit odd for the drink, so I'll rate that as below average and would not get that again. Food came out fast, staff was fast, friendly and spoke perfect English. I have noticed these days that it seems every restaurant is short staffed, overworked, running around filling pickup and Doordash orders and you will not get much attention other than the absolute bare minimum. Sometimes it is hard to even pay for your meal. Happy to say I had no issues here. Sweet tea tasted off with a...
Read moreThis experience ended up a complete failure. Me and my wife walked in and were told to sit where we liked. We sat, checked out the menu and placed our order. We ordered our drinks as well as pork eggrolls, pork skin springrolls, bahn xao (vietnamese crepes) and a beef rice plate with egg. Then the wait began. The server running frantically back and forth to only 4 table with people¿¿¿ Table after table the place finally filled in. After about 20 mins the server finally showed up with our drinks. Of course though only after trying to give them to another table. Then back to the wait. Another 40 mins goes by and we watch each table that came after us served, finishing and leaving. I have no chose but to stop the waitress to find out what was going on. She tried to convince me it would just be a little longer. 10 mins later she returns to confirm what we ordered. 5 more mins and we are told that our ticket has be lost and would have to re-order. I was not going to go through that again. My experience ended with out even tasting their food. The lack of care...
