Out of the 4 times I have been to Savannah and all of the places I’ve eaten this is now my favorite place. I am amazed at how pleasant our experience was. I was skeptical about the building but when we walked in it was bright especially with it being overcast today. There was no hostess at the hostess stand so we sat at the bar. The bartender, Kara asked us if we were limited on time because they had just taken a few large take out orders. We were not. The menu was very easy to read and had icons for the vegan and vegetarian options. There was a wide variety of those options which was nice because a lot of places only have one or two and you kind of feel like you have to eat something cause that’s all they have. We got the tater tots for an app and they were really good! We ate them super fast. There was a little wait for our food but we were not concerned about it knowing that they were working on a large to go ($300+). I could tell Kara was a little worried because another customer came in well after us and ordered and received her food before us, I didn’t see what she ordered other than soup I think a sandwich. I ordered the black eyed pea burger because of the red pepper aioli- oh my god so good!! My fiancé ordered the walnut tacos which was my first choice then I had to pick something else cause he wanted it and they were amazing as well. I was so surprised at how good both of our dishes were. I also got the sangria and it was really good too. Definitely dishes you would stick to every time you come in but I can tell if I were to order something else it would be just as good. Your kitchen is awesome and you can tell they take pride in their work. I want to thank Kara again for being so polite and awesome, she is a keeper. Can’t wait...
Read moreI use to always go to this place to get a black eye pea burger. After today's customer service, I will not be returning. 1st when I walked in the host greeted me, which was fine. But I waited for the lady in to go for 5 mins, when she finally came out she spoke to a man sitting and prepare his drink then looked at me and said Hi. At this point I just said I'm here for pick up. She then then slide my card etc on the counter top. Once I got to work I looked at my burger and it was burnt really bad. So I called to speak to a manager and the manager said to IS IT NOT EATABLE😒. I said no it is burnt, she then said you know we cook it in a fryer. I said to her yes I know I have ate there plenty of times. So she asked if I wanted another I said how long will it take, she said no long. How long is not long, she just said not long.. I then said well I'm on my lunch break I'll just get my money back. Then she said ooh okay well we put the money on a gift card. At this point I don't even care if I get my money back. When in get there with my food I showed the girl in to go and she even said that it is a little burnt as she gave me the gift card, then I said to her No don't worry about the card. She gave it to me anyways. Kinda funny because even if I don't want the food anymore or the gift card you still basically say my $11 you still going to get anyways. No customer service skills at all. Therefore, I will not return, and yes they got my $11 and yes I gave away my gift card. I work customers service all types for over 16yrs. Thanks, but no thanks. There are plenty of other places...
Read moreIn town for a few days had my pup with me and wanted to grab a bite before checking into my hotel. OMG it is HOT in Savannah, I stopped by this Kafe quickly close to my destination. The location was very spacious, and had indoor and outdoor seating. Again I had Di'Nero with me so I had to dine outside, they had specials during the day for drinks and food which is always a good thing. The service was great, I did not get a chance to get the servers name I'm sure she told me, caught her on a shift change so I low key had two servers and no I do not remember the other name either lol do not judge me please I was hungry. The place was empty so I was seated quickly and I literally got my food in minutes. Food was decent. I had the Korean BBQ chicken tacos, I hate giving bad reviews but I have a responsibility to be honest when writing these. The food was extremely underwhelming, and what I mean by that is I could have made a taco just as good or better from home. I also had a drink it was their Hot Honey Daiquiri (do not ask me why, I try different things just so I can tell you all about it), was not to my liking. I am not a fan of Daiquiris though so I'm not sure how valuable my opinion is, I will not say they made a nasty drink I'd love to hear someone...
