Ive been here twice, the second time was today, but this time I brought my husband cuz he wanted to try it and I wanted to give it another chance. This restaurant is similar to Chipotle & Moe's, where you order a burrito and pick your add-ins. Last time I got a burrito. Today I got a chimichanga and my husband got a burrito. I found the meat is cooked well(like shredded and tender), but not seasoned- especially the chicken. I also don't personally like cold stuff added in to my burrito- nor cold shredded cheese. I dont like biting into a burrito and getting a whole corner of sour cream or cold beans. I like it to all be warm and melty. That's what I experienced for my first burrito here. Today, when the chimichanga was ordered he was asking me what I want in it. When you go to an authentic Mexican restaurant, they put seasoned meat in a tortilla and fry it and smother it completely in queso and its served with rice and refried beans. Angry burritos chimichanga is essentially a fried burrito. That was a let down. And to have queso for the "chimichanga", I had to pay for a side of queso. It does come with a load of tortilla chips, but no tiny side of salsa or queso included for the chips. How is that even enjoyable? Then I saw you have to PAY for salsa or queso?!? They also don't have any hot sauce on the tables or by the plasticware to use. So I'm guessing that you have to ask for hot sauce either be put in your burrito(&i wouldnt want someone to guess how much of that i want), or maybe they charge you for a side of hot sauce too. My husband's opinion was the burritos were huge (I agree), but they are stuffed so much into a giant yet thin tortilla that you bite into it and it falls apart in your basket. He didn't really enjoy it, but he said it filled him up at least. He did use the chips to try to scoop up the fallen filling of the burrito. All in all, I think the menu items need some work, like season the meats, change the name of chimichanga to fried burrito, and the toppings need to all be hot (aside from sour cream and lettuce and tomato & guac of course). And maybe offer queso as a free add-in by the meat(because shredded cheese doesnt melt if you eat it right away, unless you take home your burrito and microwave it). And perhaps include a ketchup cup size sample of salsa or queso as a choice for a dip with the pile of chips. And add various hot sauces for the customers to use. For the atmosphere, I give it 4 stars due to limited parking that you have to pay for. But the restaurant is done up really cool and it appears clean in dining area and bathrooms. I hope the owner can take these recommendations and make some easy changes and maybe I'll be back a...
Read moreI loved this place, it was my favorite place to eat in the valley and my girlfriend and I ate there at least twice a week. The girls behind the counter and the dude that makes the cheesesteaks always kill it, are always friendly as hell and ensure that we never leave hungry. That being said, I will never be back. Today the fat bearded guy behind the counter was rude as hell to us from the moment we walked in, slamming lids and generally acting like he was pissed that he had to do something. He refused to give us the Taco Tuesday special, citing that those orders need to be made at the lounge and you need to order alcohol in order to get the special, despite the several times we've come in and ordered the special normally. He then called me a liar and said I've never been there before, even though he apparently didn't remember being a prick to me on a different night we were there for dinner. He then said he was an owner (he's not) and he doesn't believe me. We left our food on the counter and walked out.
I love this place, but I will not be called a liar by a sloppy, red eyed drunk. You will be missed Angry Burrito, but we were good customers that were...
Read moreStopped by on a Thursday night based on a recommendation of a friend. Parking was easy and close. The restaurant is bright and clean. They have daily specials- Thursday was a 16" cheesesteak with fries for $15 - it's actually two sandwiches packed with meat. My hubby had the special and I had a taco salad without the bowl - low carb diet. It was HUGE. They have fountain drinks and bottles of beverages. If you prefer something stronger to drink, there is a bar attached to the dining area. Back to the food - it was amazing. My Taco salad was assembled according to my preferences. This included chicken, lettuce, Pico (tomato mix), onions, mushrooms, cheese, hot peppers and sauce. I had enough leftover for lunch and dinner the next night. My hubby could not believe the amount of meat in his sandwiche - he was only able to eat half - so he had dinner the next night too. The food was plentiful and fresh. They deliver and best of all - very reasonably priced. It's a win - win for everyone. You get good food at a good price with no dishes to clean up....
