I walk the trails by the river and it's a great place for birthday parties. I had a few there. Hats off to the people who worked on the trails ! And Mr hendershot.

Great place to ride bike, go for walks, and play baseball/basketball. It even has a good place for a picnic.

A nice park with baseball diamond, soccer field, and hiking/biking trails along the river.

Nice area, but absolutely NO TICK WARNINGS!!! There is a path near the pavilion that leads to the river and is very dangerous not only the slope, but also very overgrown and needs to have warnings of ticks and lyme disease along the entire park. The grass was well above my ankles, and very wet. Prime for ticks questing and waiting for their next victim. The boat launch road was closed and people drove around it. Would be an excellent place to take the family if the area had tick warnings as well as being treated to control the vectors, not only ticks but other vectors as well. It also needs a border chain or something keep people to paths to the river and out of infestation. Lyme and other TBD are not...

Absolutely beautiful and pristine. Was there for local artisan event which was well juried and laid out, with additionally, sufficient number of and reasonably priced food trucks. Covered places to sit down. Plenty of free parking. Clean(!) port-o-johns. A LOT of other places could take lessons from this venue. Several folks had brought their furry (leashed) companions who seemed to be having a good time on the meticulously maintained lawn. The area would be a joy to spend any time at. Nice, clean, well maintained...

As far as park space goes, this has a boat launch, trails, it's dog friendly, there are baseball fields, a basketball court, picnic pavilions, and a little playground. It's a good place to exercise with beautiful scenery along the Susquehanna River. People still let their dogs poop along the trails, but most dog owners are good with picking it up.

Tip: If you're looking for a more expansive playground for the kiddos, a few blocks down is the...
