Shah's Halal Food — Restaurant in Sayreville

I recently ordered the Chicken Platter and Chicken Gyro, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

The chicken in both dishes was overly watery, which detracted significantly from the overall flavor and texture. It lacked the richness and seasoning that I had hoped for. While the white sauce had a decent taste, it too was watery, making the entire meal less enjoyable.

Overall, I was quite disappointed with my order and would not recommend these dishes based on my experience. I hope for better quality...

Shahs has been a growing favorite of mine for the past year now. They serve very authentic halal food that always delivers a memorable taste with every bite. So to see that they have opened a new location in Sayreville brought joy to my palette.. I mean heart 😆. No seriously, if you haven’t tried them before already I highly suggest you do. Great mixed platters over rice and excellent white sauce and hot sauce. I gotta try their gyros 🥙 😋....

Really impressed with Shah’s Halal in Parlin! The food is always fresh and flavorful — the chicken and lamb over rice are my go-tos. The sauces are amazing (especially the white sauce), and portions are generous for the price. The staff is super friendly and the place is always clean.
