Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

2022 update-4 stars for good ice cream and great staff! I still think this establishment could up their overall appearance, BUT I wanted to give a shout out to their staff. Mostly high school/college aged staff, and very friendly, accommodating, smiley and overall just refreshing in a time of few smiles and pleasant hospitality. They seem to work well together and every time I go in, they handle the crowd well and get our orders right. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU!

2020 update-3 stars Store seems to have cleaned up, renovated furniture and this makes experience much better. Still an average place to go for ice cream when considering prices, products and atmosphere. I consider this Dairy Queen similar to a McDonald’s. But, I recognize that now it is an acceptable place to dine in, where before it was not. Thanks for the improvements!

2017-2 stars 2nd star is only added because young girl working there was friendly and made a tasty blizzard for my daughter. My funnel cake was super stale, like fall apart stale with freezer burned taste. I was offered another item, but the lack of cleanliness in the place everywhere I looked grossed me out. If you zoom in on the pic of the high chairs, you will see there is food spatter on every inch of the chair. Legs of chairs at tables are same. Rips in the chairs that could be made to look slightly better easily by covering with colored duct tape. Was craving a banana split blizzard so quickly ran to get one. It was 15 min before close when I arrived and I asked the girl if it was too late and she said no they were still open. Got my blizzard and while eating it on the way home I think it was chocolate flavored ice cream with an occasional itty bitty piece of fruit. I did call and let the manager know. I didnt even have 1 piece of banana. He did offer to remake it, but I was already in my driveway and wasnt going back. I just wanted to make him aware so he can talk to him crew. A blizzard is ice cream with toppings mixed in. Almost $7 for a cup of chocolate flavored ice cream. Sorry - No thanks. A mistake was made with my Blizzard in that at least two small pieces of paper wound up in my dessert. I asked for a credit for next time. Person on the phone said I needed my receipt and to bring the treat back. I said I just want a credit on my account. He then said well I have to look in the computer to find your order. I said I ordered a large blizzard and paid cash in the last 15/20 minutes. How many customers could that have been. Hung up on the person. Won’t be back again to this store. New owners here in the...
