Please listen to other reviewers stating that this place has horrible customer service. I placed an order online, through door dash, like I normally do. 1st red flag was the fact that my order was taking exceptionally long to get here. It was stuck on the “preparing order” screen for over 30 mins, so I called the store. I was informed that the store delivers their own food so it should be arriving soon. Ok cool, I waiting about another 15 min and stepped outside and there was my order. No knock on the door and no doorbell ring, that was my second red flag. Last and finally, when I opened my order, one of the items I ordered was missing. So normally you would go back on the door dash app and report a missing item, which I tried but since this place delivers their own food THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE for all matters pertaining to your order. I called the store again trying to explain the issue and they just told me to contact DoorDash I said ok. I’ll try again. So I waited again, another 10mins and checked my app and it was still saying “preparing order” and contact the store for support. So I called the store AGAIN, a lady answered this time, I explained my issue again & she passed the phone off to a man. I explained myself once again, he told me to call door dash, didn’t even say sorry either , I explained to him again, very clearly that I can’t contact door dash regarding this & my screen still says preparing order. He proceeded to tell me to wait some more or call door dash, again !! I then stopped speaking so nicely and reiterated to him AGAIN, that door dash can’t do anything, FORTUNE HOUSE IS RESPONSIBLE!! Then he hung up. He never apologized, never offered to have my items re delivered or refunded. Just completely hung up. So I went on a “goose chase” to contact door dash over the phone. I finally got ahold of someone and during our conversation she confirmed with me that I was CORRECT and it’s up to the store to either re deliver or refund me. She placed me on hold to call Fortune house as they still have my order marked as preparing & she told me all he offered was a credit for me coming back next time. I’m sorry but I work hard as everyone does for their money and won’t be spending it somewhere where the merchant doesn’t respect their customers, especially when the issue was their fault !!! Not mine. Here we are over an hour later my order still says being prepared, I’m still missing my items, the restaurant employees don’t care & I’ve just wasted my money. Normally I love the food and service here and I should have written a review about that however tonight I was so put off I'm going out of my way to write a poor review.
After calling in my order on the way home, I stopped to pick it up one the way. It was promptly prepared and I inquired about a coupon that if I upgraded my order I could get an extra side if I spent $25. I should have already qualified but the total was just over 15 so I asked if I could get the 2 egg rolls free as their other coupon states. The girl at the register seemed supportive of either decision but the guy who passed by immediately said no. I my order was complete and not to be changed. I was put off by his abruptness and said I like this place and eat here quite often but that wouldn't happen again any time soon. He was quite content with my response reinforcing my new opinion. To top it all off they got my order wrong on the phone and I was missing the extra dish that would have put me over the $25. Maybe I should have asked his name, but his attitude and disrespect for his customer was so obvious I just left.

The Mongolian Beef was good... not as spicy as I'm used to. The cut of beef is different. My wife enjoyed her entree.
EDIT, (our next order) I had intended to make a new post... I was going to comment on the lunch specials. Food in large potions considering the price charged. I generally can eat twice.from one order. When you buy a lot of big family carry out orders you can tell value. However our recent order was sub-par. The Egg Foo Young was an inch thick, not crisp, and unusual compared to a dozen other area restaurants and buffets. She ended up throwing it all away. Mine was ok. Again the large portion for the price charged is the best thing to say about mine. I wish my wife would have had a better experience. I'd like to give them a third chance. But it's doubtful now that the Mrs has lost confidence here.
However the Restaurant is easily accessible, plenty of parking and the staff is friendly and helpful. This may be the place for you, as I'm thinking that we might be too picky. It could be your new favorite place, but you won't know unless you try it once. $6.75 gets you a lunch entree with an egg roll and a beverage. A bargain for Schaumburg. And seriously...
