Recently experienced the absolute WORST customer service I have ever received. I came here to the salon to get my hair dyed & showed a picture of what I wanted which I found on Pinterest *(attached below), I know I wasn’t going to get exactly what I asked for after the first process but I expected something close. What I got was not what I asked for at ALL and was a mix of 3-4 different colors, if not more. I called & spoke with the salon manager Michelle & she told me to come in so she could see my hair. I made it clear on the phone I just wanted my money back & didn’t want them touching my hair again. When I get there she was extremely rude and didn’t even greet us. When looking over my hair she had the worst attitude and kept asking me if I would let them try to fix it, which I explained I didn’t want to do multiple times. Once she realized I wasn’t going to budge the attitude just got worse. She issued me a partial refund just for the dye job. When I was leaving she told me next time to ask to see the back of my hair before I left so I would’ve seen the orange...there shouldn’t be orange in my hair at all & as a manger she shouldn’t have let me leave with my hair being orange and green. At this point my friend got very upset with the condescending sarcastic attitude she was giving me and told her something about her customer service skills. This is when Lisa, another manager, stepped in and told my friend “that’s enough” and to “leave”. Which is completely ridiculous, she should’ve been scolding her fellow manager and not the customer. Read morecome here all the time, sometimes I find what I’m looking for and sometimes I don’t. Came in today to exchange a Mother’s Day gift for something else since my mom didn’t like it. The lady asks if my mom has used the perfume and I answered with a no she exams the box the way she has too but for a little longer than what I expected. I got a set so therefore I spent close to $200 and received a free gift with it as well, she opens the bag 3-4 times and examine each product asking if I have used any products. Frankly for the amount of time she spent looking at the products you’d think she would notice that they have indeed, not been used but, she did not. Honestly I get it, it’s your job to ask questions and exam things but frankly you were a little over the top, I even felt very uncomfortable with the way I was being treated and stared at. I think the person who helped us was a manager and honestly I’d give a 5 star to her for being nice compared to the lady that attended me. Now because of this experience I’m questioning wether I should return this item if my mom doesn’t like it, and aren’t we supposed to get a free gift after we spend over 50$ on fragrances?? Or is that not a thing anymore? As a person who works in retail I’m trying to show that I understand where you are coming from but as a customer I’m very angry with how I’ve been treated because I haven’t ever been treated like this before, everyone at Ulta has always been so kind, what’s the difference...

I went in on Memorial Day to buy foundation but needed a color match since the last one I had wasn’t working well for me. Karina approached and asked if I wanted help, I accepted and she not only steered me to the same brand but a different formula that I not only am in love with and is fabulous, but she patiently took all the time needed to match me perfectly. She tried several different shades until we found just the right one, she is also extremely knowledgeable about the product differences. I’m a single mom and seldom have the time to focus much on myself nor do I have the time for research and tons of trial and error, but foundation and even skin tone is important to me. I have never gotten such exceptional care at any Ulta, and I visit a lot. I’ve been helped by many other associates before in the past who’ve all been great, but none have given such attention to detail as Karina did. She even found me a perfect under eye concealer as well. I’m in love with my new products, and have an all new uplifted love for Ulta thanks to Karina and her caring.
