Seafeast Sushi has a very bright airy feel inside and is very cleanly kept. I was greeted kindly by server Kim right away and seated. She kept checking on me and was very enjoyable to talk with. The seating area is quaint and they have high stools, tables and booths to accommodate you and your comfort level. The sushi maker and owner Derrick is from Canton, China.
The Crab Rangoon is full of crab and has a nice creamy texture. The spring roll had fresh cabbage, carrot and is nicely sized with in-house plum sauce.
The “Dragon roll on fire” roll has a very fun presentation. It was lit on fire at the table side. The fish was very fresh and I loved the slight char taste that the fire lent to the fish and rice. The red and black fish eggs were a beautiful and tasty topper to this signature roll! The shogun roll was pretty good. The shrimp tastes fresh and was flavorful.
They give a generous amount of fish and it’s not all rice. The sushi rice is well blended. The sushi rolls stood thier ground and didn’t fall apart. Sauces are all made in-house. The wasabi is freshly made and has a nice natural kick to it that you don’t get at other sushi houses.
They are a new establishment and are working out kinks but all in all they are doing well out if the gate.
Notable; Seafeast Sushi won an award and trophy for best ramen in Schaumburg but I’ll have to come back and try...
Read moreSeafeast was good, but after eating Schwarma Stop on my second visit, I experienced food poisoning symptoms six hours afterwards. A large portion of reviews are from Seafeast Sushi, a previous business at this location, so keep that in mind.
My first visit I ordered a Chicken Shawarma with dried fruit compote, tasted OK and no ill effects.
A few weeks later, I ordered a Beef Shwarma no sauce and dried fruit compote, tasted OK. Then about 6 hours later I had a headache and fever. Went to sleep hoping the headache would go away. Woke up 2 hours later, fever and headache returned and vomited several times, and then again after about 20 minutes. After I got it out of my system, I felt better.
I wish these guys the best, but they also should make sure their food preparation is up to code. Because I got real sick a few hours after dining here, I'm not gonna be dining here again.
Edit: What a passive aggressive response to someone getting sick. Look, it happened after I ate your food - but if you folks took the action needed to make sure people don't get sick (e.g: temperature control), you shouldn't see it happen to...
Read moreSaturday, January 6, 2024 6:00pm-7:12pm Overview Seafeast Sushi is a great restaurant. It is very spacious and clean. The food is delicious and is cheaper compared to that of other restaurants. However, there is a lot of waiting since the staff there is small. Recommended for a more slowly-paced meal with your friends or family rather than a quick bite to eat. The wait is definitely worth it, though.
Cleanliness The place is very clean and smells like delicious food. The chopsticks are packaged and not reused.
Bathrooms Clean, smells good, very spacious. Had soap, water, tissue paper, and paper towels. No hand dryer. Urinal was kind of low for an average sized person.
Price On the cheaper side for Asian cuisine. Midrange for food in general. The prices are definitely worth it as the food is delicious.
