I went in here with my friend (24 yrs old) last Sunday 8/4/24 and got ID as soon as we walked in (as they should) and the blonde owner ID us, clearing my friend but looking at me and telling me I wasn’t old enough and that I had to leave. My friend and I laughed thinking he was trying to joke around with us because I’m 21, born 11/09/2002. So because I know my age and know I’m 21 we just stood there confused waiting for him to “stop playing”. He ended up screaming in our faces telling us to get out and even threatened to call the cops on us. The lady he was sitting next to, conversing with didn’t stop or correct him either and I even offered to show her my ID too so she could tell him he was wrong and being out of hand… Their sign is outdated, it has a big “2002” on it when it should be “2003” … you’re 21 if you’re born on todays date or earlier of 2003. I LOVED going to shuffles soooo much ONLY while Lolita was working there because she’s like you’re own personal cheerleader while you’re playing and she’s so incredibly hospitable with making sure you have drinks and snacks and she won’t let you TOUCH a machine unless it was wiped down and sanitized for you first. (Even the horrible sewer gas smell that takes over the whole place couldn’t stop me from seeing Lolita!) I was literally in tears the other night when I found out she’s no longer there :( she used to work at the West location too. I won’t go back cuz she was the reason I went. This was literally a hidden gem for us. The service was great the guy who served us was extremely nice he checked with us regularly to ask if we needed anything else. We tried the fries which were good but we didn't have any food ... will be trying that next time. The place is very clean and nicely kept. There is great seating and the high chairs by the bar are comfortable. The slots machines were clean and I notice the guy serving us kept cleaning them regularly. The have complimentary soda water and snacks by the slot machines . My bf and I will definitely be coming back. Hope we have the same...
