This is now my go-to "Station" for our grandchildren! We went to Tyler's Tender for the first time yesterday while our son and his family were here visiting from out of state.
Atmosphere and Activities: Cute place. Clean, great train-themed decor. Great layout. I liked that the arcade area was separate from the restaurant in another wing. Our 3.5 year old grandson had a FANTASTIC time. He loved that he could push buttons to make the model trains stop and go. He was all grins, waves, and bell dinging as he rode around the oval track that the attendant operated for him. The arcade games kept him entertained for ages. And he was thrilled that his tickets earned him prizes. I liked that there were secure baby seats attached their eating counter for the baby.
Menu and Eats: I didn't expect such a large variety of choices on their menu. It was varied and they included healthier options. Their pot roast sandwich on a pretzel bun was delicious. Their ice cream desserts were excellent. And one of the best parts was that our dinners were delivered by train. So clever and unique!
Staff: Our server (Tamika?) was a trooper and so pleasant. We had a very large party -- including the children, we were nine in all -- and she took great care of us. She was smiling, patient and attentive in all of our interactions. At one point, a man came from the kitchen (the owner?) and asked if our food was prepared the way we liked it. It was. I told him that it was our first time and he remarked that he thought we were new because he hadn't seen us before. Very nice man.
Overall: Go! Enjoy! Spread the word about this...
Read moreTyler's Tenders quickly became the most-visited restaurant for my family. As the name indicates, chicken tenders are among the great food here at this railroad-themed restaurant but the food is not limited to kid's fair, there is a lot really great food cooked in that kitchen! The chef will not let you down no matter what it is you order, from the chicken tender basket for your little one to the Cuban sandwich which is out of sight good to the crispy caesar salad that does not disappoint! Fast and friendly service here, the likes of which caught me off guard the first time we visited and even the most recent visit! Katie has served my family each Saturday we come in and I am impressed with how fast, friendly and accurate she is on every order every time! Truly a gem! Oh and the trains! The counter area has a model train that brings your food to you on a track that circles the whole bar, there is a model train set that the kids control near the seating area, a party room for your event, an actual train ride for the kids and a game room complete with everything from skeeball and kramer kranes to pinball machines and air hockey! Tyler's Tender does...

COME ON ITS A PLACE TO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, AND SEE SOME SMILES ON THEIR FACES WHEN YOU WIN SOMETHING OUT OF THAT MACHINE. I FELT TERRIBLE FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. HE WOULD GET SO EXCITED TO SEE THE CLAW FALL EXPECTING TO HAVE A LITTLE SOMETHING ON HIS HOOK BUT NOPE JUST A EMPTY CLAW, SO YOU TRY AGAIN FOR ANOTHER BUCK AND NOTHING! THE ODDS AT THE CASINO ARE BETTER. AT LEAST YOU CAM WIN SOMETHING OFF A PENNY THERE. YOU THINK YOUR TAKING YOUR LITTLE ONES THERE FOR SOME LUNCH AND FUN (NOT !!!)
