On The Grind — Restaurant in Schertz

They make decent drinks with friendly service, but I recommend you taste your drink before leaving the window. One too many times I have not received what I ordered. For those of us that appreciate actual coffee drinks, those sugar-filled concoctions are undrinkable and for as much as they charge it adds up throwing away drinks. Accuracy is more important than speed.

I almost never go anymore because of it...took the chance this morning and it happened again. Not sure how a hot skinny latte comes out a Chai latte. Just throwing my money away.

Updated June '25: ran into the exact same problem again, ordered a large hot latte with skim milk and got some sugar loaded drink. I don't know why it is so hard to make a drink correctly. Not all of us want drinks loaded with sugar, and some of us for medical reasons can't have drinks loaded with sugar. Maybe if they didn't have the music playing so loudly they would actually be able to hear when customers order and get the order right.

And what kind of customer service is it when someone calls to have an automated message that says send a DM on social media? Consider this my message on...

NO MILITARY DISCOUNT UPDATE: This location has steadily gotten faster. It may have been the new employees and the new location, but now they are cranking the drinks out swiftly. They have a walk-up window and a drive-through, which is helpful if you are getting your car washed next door or your oil changed on the other side. Great location! There is one minor thing I wish they would do. The hot drinks come out piping hot, and I appreciate that. The problem is they double cup instead of the hot sleeve. That would minimize waste on their end and reduce the waste for the environment.

I was expecting the service to be faster, but it wasn't. I ordered a medium blender, and although it tasted like a milkshake, I couldn't taste the coffee. That was a bummer! I love on the grind so much more than Starbucks. They have a good selection of coffee, comes hot, cold and blended. They even offer a stamp card and after you buy 10 coffees you get one free. They dont even scam you by making the free coffee something nobody wants like a small black. I just redeemed my free drink today and got a large iced chocolate Carmel coffee. Their drinks dont taste as sugary as Starbucks, which I like, but they are still quite sweet. Ive gone here for a few years now and never have they gotten my order wrong, everyone is always very happy and even if the line looks long still go! They do the same thing chick fil a does and will get your order on an iPad and get you out with your drink fast. I love this place. They are dog friendly too and my dogs love coming to get a pup cup.
