Finally had a chance to have a sit down meal at Massa and I had to ask myself “what the heck took me so long?!?!?”

This place is the real deal. They serve delicious, fresh. clean, and home made food that will have you wanting to come back for more.

We had the Vegano panini, the homemade lentil soup, and the Verdure salad.

The Vegano panini is made with fresh roasted peppers and egg plant, we added fresh mozzarella, on home made focaccia bread. That was the best panini I have ever had in my life! The bread is thin, cooked to a crispy yet chewy texture and does not leave one feeling bloated like most American breads. This bread is made fresh with imported flour, which gives the bread nice texture and flavor, without the bloated bread feeling.

The verdure salad has mixed greens, spinach, cherry tomatoes, roasted egg plant, pine nuts, and EVOO with a squeeze of lemon juice. I know this sounds redundant; yet, this was probably one of the best salads I’ve had in my life thus far.

And finally, the homemade Lentil soup. The lentils are soft, the broth was flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I am not a big lentil soup fan; however, this is the one place I would return and eat the lentil soup.

The added beauty of eating at Massa is the feeling one has after finishing their meal, sated without feeling heavy nor bloated.

I forgot to mention that this place also serves pizza by the slice (quite a variety from which to choose) on a homemade foccacia, crunchy crust. I've had the pleasure of having a slice or two, or three, and the pizza is also a reason to stop in for a bite to eat.

If you have not had a chance to visit Massa as of yet, please make time in your life to do so. You owe it to your tastebuds to do so, and you will not be...

With so many pizza options around the area, it's great to see a different style of pizza ever the game. There establishment is bright and inviting. The pizza menu isn't over the top with many different types. There's something for everybody. Wanting to try two different types, I was pleased to know that they could make one half white and the other half with sauce. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pizza came out piping hot and was delivered to our table. The crust was light and airy with the order chew to it. The sauce was sweet and the cheese was amazingly fresh. I'll be honest, it wasn't cheap but I'm always more than glad to pay a little for good food and this is exactly what I got. I'll be back to try one of...

If you're looking for true Roman-style pizza in New Jersey, Pizza Massa Square is an absolute gem. The dough is perfectly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside — just like you'd find in the streets of Rome. Each slice is crafted with care, topped with high-quality ingredients and bold flavor combinations that go way beyond your typical pizzeria.

The atmosphere is cozy and modern, with friendly staff who are clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you try the classic Margherita or something more adventurous like the potato and rosemary slice, you can’t go wrong.

✅ Authentic Roman pizza ✅ Crispy, airy dough ✅ Top-tier ingredients ✅ Fast and friendly service

This place brings a piece of Italy right to Scotch Plains. Highly...

I have been to Massa several times over the last few years (last time was last week) and as I was looking to send the information to a friend to recommend this place, I stumbled up on the review section on Google. Saying I am shocked is an understatement. I read a couple of reviews complaining about the food and how dirty the place was. I am a clean freak and Massa has always been super clean in my opinion.. I have lived in Rome Italy for 20 years and know what good pizza and suppli taste like. True, this is not your average American slice, but thank god! Finally something good and different in the area! I also recommend the vegan and Jenny sandwiches!!!
