Nunzio's Pizza — Restaurant in Scotch Plains

I have eaten pizza from this establishment about a half dozen times, not by choice. Friends of mine live a stone’s throw away from this place on Mountain Ave. there has not been one occasion where I thought this was better than a 3 star rating overall. The one consistency this pizzeria has is that their pizza is never crispy and always floppy. This probably is the worst time that I’ve ever had it to date. You could not pick up a slice without having half of it ripping apart. I cannot stand using a fork and knife on pizza, especially New York style pizza. This pizza cannot be eaten without a fork and knife. And honestly, the knife was not necessary as the pizza was so wet from grease that you could just pull it with a fork and a piece of rip off. The pictures that are included show how greasy their pizza is you can actually see a pool of Greece towards the rear of the box that soaked through the cardboard and left a grease mark on the table. The people who give this place five stars on their pizza must not really know what a good pizza is. as much as I would tell you that I would never eat from here again, due to convenience, my friends will go here from time to time. Ive ordered food from nunzio four times since i moved here. All four times they made major mistakes on the order. Today i bravely tried one last time. I slowly dictated that i wanted a cheese steak sub sandwhich with mozzarrella cheese and he asked if i wanted a cheese steak pizza , i reiterated i wanted a normal cheese steak sandwhich with MOZZARELLA cheese . When the order was ready , he handed me a cheese steak pizza pie 😵‍💫i was noticably upset because i waited 25 minutes for it and payed way more than i should have for a cheese steak sandwhich . The two guys working there said they would make a cheese steak sub for me really fast ..i went over the order again and reiterated mozzarella cheese only…i got home, opened box and it was a cheese steak sub with american cheese. I threw it out and waisted $39 ..i am officially done with nunzio pizzeria of scotch plains. I never understood why it looked so empty all the time because the food is pretty good..now i know its poorly managed...

I was on Facebook the other day when I noticed a childhood friend of mind post something about the best queens pizzerias. Brother's were fortunate to make the cut, so I decided to hit this joint up. Man, this place has got to look the same way it did when it first opened up back in the 70's so first impression, I knew this pizza would be good.
