Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Scott Township

We go to this Applebee's several times a month and it's usually good food , great service. But today was different, my wife ordered the Riblet meal with honey BBQ sauce just like she has several times in the past but this time someone accidentally put the Asian zing sauce on it. Now I understand mistakes happen wether it was rung up wrong on the order or the cooks in the back messed up. That's not what pissed me off, I asked our waitress who was very nice and on top of her tables if she could please make us another order of riblets with the correct sauce. She said no problem and took them back. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to receive the new order. Now this is where it goes down hill, the riblets literally looked like they were washed off and reheated, they were extra black charred on the tips and they were rubbery not tender like they always are. Another point they were broken apart in the same area where my wife originally separated them the first time they came out. They also only had sauce on one side, not to mention they gave us the same fries and coleslaw back. My wife tried to eat them because she doesn't like making a fuss but she quit after a few bites, they were not good.

After our meal I asked the waitress to talk to the manager, she came out and I explained what I just explained above, SHE said they were not washed off and reheated because she personally throw them away herself. She told me it was a new rack of riblets. They were clearly washed off and reheated, but she took BOTH orders of riblets off the bill cause we were double charged for them. Here's the icing on the cake the waitress brought our bill over and apologized and said SHE personally threw those riblets away. So which was it the manager threw them, the waitress or did you wash them off and try to pull a fast one on me and lie to our faces? TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE wish i could give negative stars...we went to the Applebees in greentree. The food was gross, and I'll eat almost anything. Service was fast but we asked to eat our salads and I also had a milkshake before our meal came well the waitress forgot? We wanted that stuff. I hit the button to call the waitress over, never came. Finally I saw her walking and I called her over and asked about the food and she's like oh I thought so and so was giving it to you, then I asked about my milkshake n she says I thought so and so made it and the other worker did make it but left it in the blender. While eating the salad that she just brought to us 30 seconds ago, Waitress tells us our food is done and she will give us few mins to eat the salads. She literally walked away from table to the kitchen and brought us our meals out. I only got bacon cheese fries, no big deal. Well fries were cold, they put bacon BITS on the fries and then sprinkled shredded cheese on them. The cheese was not melted or anything. I get bacon cheese fries EVERYWHERE and this was 1st time getting cold shredded cheese on them and bacon BITS. you mean to tell me yall dont have/use real bacon for that? Idk but Mind you we are the only ppl in the restaurant. My mom orders a medium to well done steak and when it comes to her it's pink inside, really pink the whole thing. My dad's meal was ok but the Cole slaw sucked, it was so dry n all you tasted was cabbage. It didn't taste like there was like sauce in it...no miracle whip or whatever. It was just lousy. One good thing though, my dad is handicap and struggles to walk. When we started to walk towards the door the hostess opened the doors for us to come in and then when we left. Lol. That was nice...after our wonderful dinner, the bill was 60$ for the 3 of...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of ordering takeout from this Applebees, and I must say it was nothing short of embarrassing as well as a waste of time and money. I ordered a bourbon street steak; expecting a juicy, perfectly cooked piece of meat with the onions, mushrooms & garlic butter as advertised on their website. Instead, what I received was a charred, burnt disaster that was 100% inedible. The steak was overcooked to the point of being dry and tough, with a bitter, burnt taste that completely ruined the meal.

To make matters worse, the presentation was equally appalling. It looked like something that had been forgotten on the grill for far too long, with no effort made to salvage it. At the price point this dish is at this is absolutely unacceptable. I’ve had this dish many times at other locations and it was great. However, it was very far from great at this location. I work at a restaurant & would not serve this to a dog, I’d be embarrassed beyond belief to serve this to any PAYING customer.

Overall, it was a rip off. The quality of the food and the lack of attention to detail were upsetting. I certainly won't be returning, and I would advise others to think twice before ordering...
