Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Scott Township

Terrifying experience. First time I frequent this place and last time I will ever frequent any of them. I asked for an ice cream sandwich. The girl who was asked to make it was playing with her hair and grabbed the cookies to spread like peanut butter melted ice cream, threw it in a bag and handed it over. In the bag was two tablespoon worth of melted ice cream and cookies floating around. How THOROUGHLY DISGUSTING. I asked her if she would eat what she served. She did not respond and kept twirling her dirty ponytail. The young man in charge tired to make me another... failed attempt. Then he did not know how to reimburse almost 4 dollars (yes... that was the cost of that horror). In the end he agreed to give me cash back. Asked approximately how many kids the quart size would serve. Was told they didn't know the kids so they couldn't give me an answer.....hmmmmm.....

I order two quarts of Italian ice for a group of 15 people. I was told that in order to get cups to serve the Italian ice in I would be charged an extra $3.

Avoid this franchise owner. The Rita's at Donaldson's crossroads is much more group friendly and provides complimentary cups and spoons to eat...

I love Rita's ice cream. I seem to have some sort if allergy to their vices,just a mild asthmatic cough, but I get the same thing from other places too so it's me, not the product.

My only complaint is they appear to hire very young help with very little training. This staff can have a hard time understanding some orders, especially if asking for a favorite from the previous season. I don't think they know how to say NO, yet they have no idea...
