root 11 bistro — Restaurant in Scott Township

If I could live here & work here, I would! Lol! R11B is between 40-45 miles north of us. We usually hit them & Bloom Naturally up after one of my specialist visits after Geisinger. We love them so much, I actually try to make appts Wed-Fri, lol. They can accomodate my food allergies from the chronic health challenges in 2 seconds without any eyeballs, huffs, puffs, etc. Smiling, happy facial muscles behind their masks. Coffee with oat milk is da bomb, as well as every single dessert we have tried thus far. I got the V/GF tortilla soup & the mushroom/black garlic "sammich" on the GF wrap this time. (Wrap went home & was AMAZING marinating for a few hours & "air-fried" in the toaster oven for 5 min at 400. I could have used 5 more of those! 😘) My husband loves R11B bc of the breakfast anytime & got thecsteak & egg sammich, I think. Even though we have opposite eating styles, R11B accommodates us both. I wish that every time we had a craving, they'd magically be open & teleport food...

Can't I give them more than 5 stars??!!! OMG!!! I NEVER write reviews, but everything was FABULOUS!!!! So fresh, so unique!!! And you don't feel guilty after you eat there! You feel like you fed your body what it should be getting to keep you healthy! I had the Ginger Thai Salad and added chicken. It was amazing!!! The ginger vinaigrette had finely minced ginger and tasted like it was made to order! My husband had the black garlic burger and woofed it down before I could ask for a second bite! It's his new favorite burger!!! I HAD to taste their cupcakes...🤯 NOT your ordinary cupcake! The strawberry shortcake cupcake was so moist with chunks of strawberries in the cake with light, delicious whipped topping🤯. I can't wait to go back! I have been to this adorable little bistro several times, and somehow it just keeps getting better! First I have to compliment the staff, ALWAYS super friendly, quick and accommodating. As for the food, I just don't know where to begin. It's all around 5 stars. Love all the gluten free and vegan options (even desserts!). It's one of the very few places in the area that provide healthy, locally sourced AND delicious food options. Also, I wanted to mention what a stellar job they have done at taking precautions since the beginning of the pandemic.They even offer curbside pickup and online ordering.
