Almost a year ago I went to this location to pickup a lunch order for our office. I am the manager of our insurance office and I was buying our staff lunch for the day. I phoned in our order and it was accepted no issues. I speak perfect English mind you.
Upon arriving I walked in through the front and noticed a bar and a host stand. I proceeded to flag down a server that was walking by and mentioned I was there to pick up an order. She told me to follow her and proceeded to take me to the back to the kitchen where I saw an open door to the alley and the kitchen. She left me there. I saw the in between where they have their drinks machine, coffee pots and a mop in the corner. The cook came up to me and asked me what’s up. I told him they brought me here, I was picking up an order. He was making a burger on the flat grill with a pan over it to cook it quicker. He told me I had to go to the front which I knew to be obvious.
The sad part is the server was white and I was not. I was racially profiled and discriminated. I proceeded to go back to the front, mind you I was dressed in office apparel. I repeated myself that I was picking up an order. The same woman, was shocked and hopefully embarrassed. I paid with my American Express and left never to return. I even tipped the b!tch.
Needless to say that was the one and only time our office has ordered lunch from there. It was a recommendation of one of our staff that said they were a great place.
