Lack-luster- Flower Child is a local franchise marketed towards a health-target demographic with a casual approach. Think, "Panera Bread"- on a much smaller scale. While it has tremendous potential, it is yet another venue grossly misrepresented by its service practices. The host/hostess is the "face" and first impression of your business, with their attitude towards guests requiring consistency. Rachael: un-professional & rude. An odious attitude that did little to represent the companies values, which are plastered all over its walls. That being said, management was friendly & wait staff was consistent with hospitality in mind. The open-floor plan provides guests with a full-view of the inter-workings of Flower Child. Open kitchen without barriers, including the preparation area. Curious about how your food is being prepared? The preparation area is fully visible to anyone curious. Kitchen staff was clean in their preparation method, as was their workspace. Peace of mind, for those concerned with cleanliness. Flower Child's menu is both creative & multi-cultural. Looking for health-food options from Asia? There are Indian, Thai, Japanese & Lebanese dishes present on the menu. In collaboration with New American fare, the menu is both expansive & displays creative ingredient combinations. While this holds true, the utilization of these ingredients didn't prove to be effective. My "Indian Turmeric Cauliflower" was improperly seasoned, with too much salt being added. To contrast, the "Ancient Grains Bowl" was prepared with slightly more attention to detail & ingredients complimented each other. That being said, Flower Child has an even distribution of positive & negative qualities. If you are an individual who values health, fresh-ingredients & appreciation for cultural fare, Flower Child succeeds in these aspects. If accommodations & flawless execution of ingredients are the focal of your experience, Flower Child is best suited for those...
Read moreOut of my quick surgery, and me very hungry we drove around looking for something out of the ordinary. I am a total foodie, good cook. We found Flower Girl restaurant. Trendy, happy atmosphere, bit noisy, but happy people enjoying their food. Friendly attentive waitresses/waiters. We walked up to order from the extensive exciting menu. It seemed to have everything fresh so my eyes immediately lit on the yakasaba bowl with vegetables. My husband had his usual salad. They gave us a number and we went and found a seat very short This delicious looking salad was sat down in front of my husband, and then they sat this amazing bowl in front of me It had very juicy flavorful looking udon noodles tossed in with a variety of fresh, barely sautéed rings of carrots, bell peppers, cashews, smoked small pieces of chicken thighs, which I don’t usually eat, but these were delicious. The more I looked the more goodies I saw in the bowl. Sesame seeds, bell peppers, onions, so much I can’t remember. Now usually. Eat half a bowl of some thing and I usually take the other half home. Just not that hungry most of the time. But today that bowl was so delicious that I couldn’t quit eating it. So good I ate the whole bowl. now my hubby liked his salad also. I highly recommend this place. If you want to try something out of the ordinary, fresh scratch made in house instead of frozen things You need to try this place I give it 5 1/2 stars out of five. Y The food was reasonably priced and my large bowl of udon and veggies was about $15, and I think my husband‘s salad was about the same. Their iced tea was delicious with lots of choices of flavors. You can eat inside or they have a patio with misters for coolness. Apparently, and I’m excited to know that, there are several locations around the Including Gilbert. But the actual address that we went to in Scottsdale was. 10460 N 90th St, Scottsdale, AZ...
Read moreFlower Child in Scottsdale has clearly found its groove with the lunch crowd, and for good reason. This place was absolutely bustling when I visited during peak lunch hours – always a promising sign that locals have embraced what they’re serving. The counter service here deserves special praise. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff moved with impressive efficiency, getting orders processed and meals prepared remarkably quickly. What really stood out was how genuinely friendly and helpful all the employees were. They took time to answer questions about ingredients and offered suggestions without making you feel rushed, even with a line forming behind you. I decided on the chicken enchilada bowl, drawn by the promise of fresh, quality ingredients that Flower Child promotes. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and you could tell the vegetables and other components were indeed fresh and high-quality. The portion was generous and satisfying. However, there was one significant disappointment that kept this from being a five-star experience. The enchilada sauce was shockingly processed – imagine the consistency, appearance, and artificial taste of Cheez Whiz, and you’ll have a pretty accurate picture. For a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, wholesome ingredients, this felt completely out of place and frankly puzzling. It’s the kind of shortcut that undermines the otherwise thoughtful preparation. The popularity and efficiency of this location speak volumes about what they’re doing right, and the staff truly elevates the experience. If they could address that sauce situation, this would easily be a must-visit spot. As it stands, it’s still worth trying – just maybe ask about sauce...
