A friend raves about Aftermath, so I was excited when she chose Born & Bred for her birthday dinner (I was also happy to know there was a Handel's Ice Cream only a few doors down for dessert).
We started with the brussel sprouts, which were good. I'm told at Aftermath they come with goat cheese, which would have really elevated these; I find balsamic on brussel sprouts to be a great combination, so adding either of those would have knocked this appetizer out of the park.
For dinner, I had the Aftermath Burger. It was a really good burger. Next time I'll probably try the scallops or the pizza.
Our server was very nice and attentive. The Chef delivered the food and checked in on us at the end of the meal. The restaurant wasn't very busy and they have only been open two weeks, but the service made us feel very welcomed. Extra props to the host, who wished the birthday girl a happy birthday on our way out. Most of the time in restaurants, I find myself thanking the hosts on our way out while they stare at their phones or daydream, so I was impressed this host thanked us before we could thank him and he remembered the birthday celebration.
The only "negative" (if you can call it that) was the soda. They have a full bar, so I asked the server what soda they had: Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite (maybe there was also Dr. Pepper...?). Anyway, I assumed that meant they had the bar soda gun. I guess I should have clarified, but I ordered a Sprite. I was surprised to be served a can of Sprite (with a glass of ice, of course). But the real surprise occurred when the bill arrived. That standard 12-ounce can of Sprite was $4! Soda-orderers beware: $4 for 12-ounces of soda...
Read moreI had high hopes for this place, but my experience was incredibly frustrating from start to finish. It took over 25 minutes just to get a salad, and we ordered bread too — which they’re supposedly known for—but it was so stale it wasn’t even edible. Honestly, it tasted like a crouton.
Things only got worse. The pizza took over 50 minutes to arrive, and by that point, I had already told the staff I needed to leave soon to catch a flight. Only then did they start to rush, clearly because we were ready to walk out. (Even the table next to us walked out from slow service)
When the pizza finally came, it was not what I ordered. I asked for a Margherita, but what I got had a ton of toppings I would never even order in my life. When I mentioned the mistake, the server gaslit me, insisting I must’ve ordered it wrong. He took it away and magically came back one minute later with a Margherita—at which point I had to send it back because I no longer had time to eat it.
The server continued to treat me like I was at fault for the mix-up, which was incredibly unprofessional and upsetting, especially on my first visit. It’s ironic that this place is known for its bread, yet that was the worst part of the meal.
I won’t be...

This spot is as sharp and precise as any of my best competition runs. My mom went for the Aftermath Burger, while I opted for the Fire Roasted Chicken. Both were flawlessly executed, like a well-aimed shot, with flavors that hit the mark. The burger was a symphony of taste, stacked with just the right mix of toppings, and that toasted onion bun—pure perfection.Blake was our very attentive server, well-educated on the menu and the nuances of each item. His knowledge and attentiveness added an extra layer of excellence to the experience, ensuring we made the best choices. As for sides, the crinkle-cut fries were crispy with a satisfying crunch, while the Caesar salad I chose packed a punch with those fried capers—a unique twist that added an unexpected, but welcome, layer of flavor.Whether you're a seasoned veteran of the dining scene or just looking for a quality meal, Born and Bred delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a dining experience that truly hits the target. Btw just went back again for some to go items. Jordan is a...
