I cannot express the level of frustration I am feeling right now towards Chipotle. I thought that online ordering was supposed to be convenient, and it semes for every other food establishment that offers the service, it usually is. And then there's chipotle. I placed an order at 7:21PM through the online ordering service. I live literally 3 minutes from the Chipotle on Frank Lloyd Wright and usually, due to the volume of the store, estimated pick up times are usually ridiculous. TOnight I felt lucky, becuase I had the option of picking up my order only 25 minutes from when I placed it; at 7:45PM, food for my boyfriend and I was supposed to be ready for pickup. We left our apartment at 7:35, in hopes that the chipotle gods would be in our favor today and our order might be ready earlier than expected. Welp, that backfired. First, the line was enormous. To be expected; it's Chipotle and Chipotle's food is tasty. I went to the front of the line where I asked for our online order. Because one of our items had chicken in it, we were told that the chicken had ran out and they were in the process of preparing more. Ok not a big deal. Well, 10 minutes goes by and I notice that every one in line that is ordering chicken is getting their meals prepared for them. However we, who ordered online for the specifi crason of avoiding waiting were.. waiting. Yes that is right, ALL of the customers who ordered chicken had their food prepared before the order that was supposed to be ready at 7:45. By 8PM, when they "finally" were able to fit me into their busy schedule, they made my second food item. Needless to say, the frist food item was already cold by this time but I erally jus twanted to go, as my dogs were waiting for me in the car outside. I grabbed the food and left frustrrated, not even noticing that the cashier had forgotten to give me a drink. Was that my fault? In this case, I believe it absolutely ws not. The cashier KNEW how frustrated I was and at that point, it was THEIR responsibiility to ensure that my 15 minute delayed order and cold food was at least accurately delayed and cold. But they couldn't even...
Read moreI often wonder how Chipotle & Panda Express get their employees to be so stingy with the portions when they are preparing the bowls/plates right in front of you. Is there a secret threat of torture made during employee orientation? Are there hidden cameras watching & measuring every spoonful of food?
The picture in this review is a bowl prepared at Chipotle thirty minutes prior to this review. I admit there was some obvious settling of the food on my drive home, but I never touched or manipulated the food in the bowl at any time. Nonetheless, does it look like I received a full portion? I sure as heck don't think so.
Why does this happen? Why don't employees err on the side of giving too much?(Don't blame the corporation by saying employees don't get paid enough to care about portion size. I'll tell you that if they don't like the payscale, they should work somewhere else, and they certainly shouldn't take their piss-poor attitude out on my dinner.)
It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it's annoying. To the corporation, I'd say, "If you want me to spend more money at your restaurant, train your servers to be attentive & and consistent. To you, it's only five cents worth of rice, but to me, it means that you actually care about the customer experience. If I have to start wondering if I'll get a full portion, I solve that problem quickly by going somewhere else."
As for the workers, I'd say, " Don't embarrass yourself by putting a tip jar by the cash register. You don't...
Read moreServed me chicken so hard, it broke my tooth... and it took them over a week to respond to my 2 times contacting them. It was an online order so they got rid 9f some old food to me. They won't even fix my tooth. SHE TALKED TO ME LIKE I WAS GARBAGE! Just another dollar in their pocket. She wants for their dentist to look at my mouth to "determine if the tooth was perfect " and if not "they won't cover it at all". I am 42 yrs old, whos teeth are perfect? A billion $ company wont fix a tooth of a Chipotle Loyalty Member (ironic) breaking said tooth on their food. These are the people that are in charge of feeding us??? If we let them get away with that, where will they draw the line? Breakin teeth, ok? Food poisoning, ok? Death? She also treated me like a number on a piece of paper, while I'm in so much pain! Nothing i said changed her tone or response. Im a family man, work for myself. Cant afford insurance or dental for myself, only my little girl and her mother. She did not give @#$! About me or my family. I told her how it is affecting my work, the pain. I can't eat solid food, it is agonizing. So im getting weak now and throwing my focus off... all this I told Chipotle Corporate HR. They did not...
