OMG! (Oh My Gravy!) What a hidden gem. DiMaggio’s is the old world family style Italian eatery you didn’t know you needed! From the moment you walk towards the restaurant, you can feel the welcoming energy. We came upon several patrons enjoying the food, atmosphere and each other’s company on the outdoor patio. It was spacious with plenty of tables. We chose to eat inside. Our server was Jamel, who was clearly a seasoned server. He was welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the entire menu. He even sang a note or two. We happened to come at the perfect time and we were introduced to the owners Brandon and Michelle. Such a beautiful couple and their daughters also work there and are very nice, professional and they ALL had a such great energy. We felt at home. We started at a high top and later decided to eat at the bar. We were able to watch the one of a kind drinks being made, the amazing food being brought out and enjoy the great music and atmosphere. There were so many amazing food selections and we tried several of them. It’s the next day and I am still full. lol For starters we had the Calamari, which was tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside and the clams were cooked to perfection and great bread to dip with. Next we tried the house made lasagna and the shrimp scampi. The lasagna was like an Italian skyscraper made from pasta, cheese and everything yummy. I had two servings before I even touched the shrimp scampi and was pretty close to full. Next was the shrimp scampi and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. They were like clouds with tails. They were succulent. Then came the chef special Eggplant stack. At first glance, it looked like a special Carmel apple but then when you spice it open, it was like a gift on your birthday. All of the delicious ingredients were exposed. The fresh Arugula, the eggplant, Balsamic drizzle and spices were divine. I couldn’t eat another bite BUT, I can ALWAYS make space for dessert and I’m so glad I did. It was a toss up between the Tiramisu and the Canolli’s… the Cannoli’s won. I haven’t had Cannoli’s this fresh since my Nona Millie made them when I was 8. These were so rich and delicious that I was taking my time to savor the flavor. The cannoli itself was crunchy and filled with light filling and finished off with chocolate chips that melt in your mouth. They are sold singly or three. I chose three pieces to have another the next day. Even the bathroom was nice, clean and well decorated. This is the tru definition of family dining. It felt like home and having the east coast connection made it even homier. Pros: Quality ingredients Food made to order. Custom made drinks. Great service. Amazing ambiance and music. The entire staff was professional and friendly. Very clean and well maintained. Cons: Too much food and not enough room to eat it all. lol It was a tad difficult to see/find from the street view. Just follow the wefts of good food and ask for Jamel and his special Strawberry drink or the Espresso martini. Just go; you won’t be disappointed and the prices are great, too. Go when you are really hungry and take friends and family. It will be a great time had by all.

From the moment we walked in, the experience felt off. The layout is chaotic, the hostess stand is squeezed inside an already cramped entryway. When even two parties line up, you’re practically hovering over diners at nearby tables and blocking the narrow door the staff uses to serve patio guests. It’s uncomfortable for everyone and sets a hectic tone right out of the gate. As for the food, it sadly didn’t make up for the awkward start. The Caesar salad was underwhelming. The dressing lacked depth, if it’s made in house, it’s missing that signature anchovy bite that gives a Caesar its bold flavor. The shrimp linguine was just noodles, bland sauce, and shrimp. No herbs, no citrus. For a dish rooted in Mediterranean flavors, it offered no brightness or freshness. The garlic bread was barely garlic toast, one dry slice with no richness, butter, or seasoning. The calamari was unseasoned, and served without a lemon wedge, which is a standard pairing in Italian cuisine to cut through the oil and bring balance. The service was also incredibly slow. We waited far too long between courses, and tables that arrived after us were getting drinks and apps first. That kind of inconsistency really pulls you out of the experience. I’ll give two stars purely for the friendly staff and the fact that they kept my Diet Coke full, but everything else felt like surface level “Italian” with no soul behind the food. With better pacing, more intentional flavors, and a smarter layout, DiMaggio’s could improve. But right now? It’s all aesthetic, no substance and extremely overhyped.

Every single staff member went out of their way to make us feel special. Starting with our patio reservation, when we got to the restaurant, a table had opened up inside and we got to enjoy that instead. Jamel and Jared took care of us and went above and beyond. We were truly treated with so much respect and hospitality. I work in the industry, and I’ve never had better service anywhere in my entire life. The food was off the charts! Eyes were closed when tasting each dish and I couldn’t help it! I’m Italian so of course I’m very picky about marinara and any type of red sauce. That being said, to the owner, chef Brandon, you over-delivered on quality and flavor. 15/10. This is somewhere you go for the ambiance and experience (and the amazing food). You are supposed to indulge in the conversation and the time you’re spending with the people you came to dine with. This isn’t something to be rushed. If you’re in a hurry, go get some fast food! But if you have a few hours to enjoy the full experience, and truly feel like royalty, come get treated right by everyone at Di Maggio’s. I promise you will leave feeling like you are a part of the family. Thank you to everyone who made our experience here unforgettable. Special shout-out to Jamel, the only thing you missed was rolling out a red carpet for us, amazing service! Will definitely be back and also telling everyone I know about my wonderful time at Di Maggio’s.

DO NOT COME HERE ESPECIALLY FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS!!!!!!! I personally am not one to leave google reviews but I cannot know the way that we were treated at this restaurant and not say anything. Let me explain from beginning to end how APPALLED I am at the service in this restaurant. I called 3 days ahead to make a reservation for my BIRTHDAY for a group of 9 and they said sure no problem and they knew it was for my birthday. The night of my reservation we were going to be about 15 minutes late due to accidents and traffic as we were coming all the way from buckeye so we called the restaurant to let them know so they wouldn't cancel us. When we spoke with the host/hostess we told them the name and time our reservation was for and that we would be late and she said "Okay no problem thank you for giving us a heads up". So we are on our way there when a member of my party arrived before us and tried to get our table when he called me to say they had no reservation for us??? I was so confused and frustrated since we had literally just spoke to them and they seemed as if they knew we were coming. So I myself contact the restaurant to figure out why they don't have it and the guy takes my phone number and is able to pull up my reservation. He then says "It looks like you cancelled it online this morning" to which I replied I most certainly did not I never even looked on there website besides to check their menu. I was extremely frustrated as it was for my birthday and I had a big group on a saturday night so the chances of us getting into another restaurant at 8:30 were probably not that high. I communicated my frustrations and the host was just repeatedly telling me that i was the one that canceled it to which i kept replying I did NOT, and he said and I quote, "we don't need to go back and forth about it" Ummmm okay????? Stop telling me I did something when i most certainly did NOT. He agreed to still take us and acknowledged that they would "celebrate my birthday the right way" which they did NOT. Once we arrived we went straight to our table on the patio since some of my party was already sat there and we waited to be attended by the waiter. We waited. And we waited. And waited. With not even menus on the table we all began to look at it on our phones since we were told the kitchen closed at 9 and it was already pushing 8:30. The waiter stopped by finally for 2 seconds to say he would be with us and he was waiting on bread to finish cooking (which we never even received???) so we said okay no problem. About 20 minutes later he finally brought waters and tried to take our drink order (still with no menus) and I also ordered an appetizer for the table. He left and then walked by to go to another table when I said "excuse me can we please have some menus??" to which he replied "oh yeah i guess you guys were using your phones huh". Like WHAT??? He literally knew and saw us struggling and still didn't bother to bring us menus. I was so irritated I walked inside and spoke to the manager saying our service has been horrible (because we pretty much didn't get any at all) to which he replied that that is unacceptable and he would take care of it right away. He ended up bringing out champagne for the table which I appreciated, but the shitty service still continued. He finally brought our appetizer out after FOREVER and we began to eat. At this point it had been so long two members of my group had to leave before ordering and eating because they had work the next day. I was so embarrassed and horrified that my friends took time out of their day to come celebrate my birthday and drove across town just to not be able to even eat. After they left he finally came back and took our orders. Not to mention his attitude the whole time was SO poor. We did not feel welcomed from the second he looked at us we felt like a nuisance and he just couldn't be bothered, but after speaking to the manager he tried to joke around and get all buddy buddy with us. Sorry but too late for...

I came here for my birthday dinner with some friends. We had a 7:30 reservation and we weren’t sat until 8:30PM, according to my friend who kept track.

Even after being sat, we were not served. We only had glasses of water on the table. It was embarrassing having had waited at that table with my friends for nearly an hour and a half, in birthday hats and a present with empty glasses of water, near closing time, and patrons who had been sat inside before us having left by the time we were finally acknowledged, only after two of my friends, at their own insistence, went to speak to a host.

The owner came to speak with us and was very polite but very pushy. I had wanted to flat out leave, but he insisted that we stay and put me on the spot, so it was even more embarrassing. Red-faced and embarrassed in front of my friends and patrons, feeling outnumbered, I said yes and we sat down. Suddenly, the servers were more than attentive towards us.

My friends enjoyed their food but I could hardly taste it with holding back my tears of embarrassment. I kept quiet for the most part because if I opened my mouth, I would bring down the atmosphere at my own birthday dinner. I work customer service at a 5-star resort and it was just God awful being a customer at what is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and having gone through this, and I don’t mean to be dramatic, but working in the hospitality industry has taught to NOT do half of what the staff at DiMaggio’s does, lest I be written up and demoted.

The owner took care of the bill, which was very nice and considerate, seeing as we waiting for two hours, including wait time, drinks being brought out after finally being acknowledged, and having to wait for four plates of food for me and my friends. We left after closing time, around 9:45PM-10PM and yes, we were the last table to leave, which was even more mortifying.

I hardly ever write reviews but it has been hard for me to simply forget about this experience. Keep that in mind before considering dining somewhere where your bill will be $250+ for 3 sodas, a water, one crappy appetizer, and 4 decent plates of pasta, served by less-than happy and poorly...
