Been here multiple times for breakfast after the gym and it's been fantastic. The staff is very friendly and nice!
I really like the online ordering they offer. I don't bring my wallet to the gym when while it's a few steps to place your order it's totally worth it to have my food ready right when I finish my workout.
The only bad reviews there had we're because they didn't offer "gluten free" bagels. I'm a dietitian and I'm not sure what you know about guten and the label, but to be "gluten free" they would need to make their bagels in a whole different facility.
Most time when you see "GF" on a menu it means "gluten friendly".
"Gluten friendly” means the menu item is technically a gluten-free food (or can be altered to be gluten-free) but the restaurant cannot guarantee that the food has not come into contact with gluten.
I think it's such a shame to rate a great bagel place 1 star, that can really impact their business, over that. I looked at the reviewers and one of them gave 1 star reviews to a bunch of places over not having "gluten free" and I don't even think they know what their taking about because many of the places could only offer "gluten...
Read moreWent to this shop because of all the fantastic reviews and ravings about how close they were to NYC bagels. Good variety and staff was friendly. I got 2 toasted bagels to go with strawberry schmears on the side, and 2 specialty bagels. I had to remind preparer to put smears on the side. When I got home and checked the bagels, they were all burned in 3 or 4 places, especially around the edges. The schmear they sold me was also incorrect--just plain cream cheese not strawberry as ordered.
We ate around the burnt parts on two of them them anyway but I decided to drive the 15 min. to return the two others for a refund.
If not burnt, they would have been good enough but don't think they would have been close to the best bagels I've had in Phoenix and not reminiscent of the best bagels I've had in NYC. Maybe just a one-off experience but since it was my first time, I won't be...
Read moreOn my way to one stop and see this place next door. As a New Yorker I had to check it out. Smelled GREAT when I got inside. Ordered the classic bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Kind of a bust. The everything bagel was overdone and so were some of the toppings. I was also sad that the everything, while having sunflower seeds (never seen before) it didn’t have salt. They even had a salt bagel but don’t put salt in the EVERYTHING?? The egg and bagel were somewhat thin, I got 1 slice of cheese which was lost in the sandwich and 2 strips of bacon that lacked salt also.these are not authentic NY bagels sorry to say. Didn’t even have pork roll/taylor ham. Smh, wouldn’t go back there to spend 10$ on a breakfast sandwich that was average at best. Just do yourself a favor and make it at home. It will...
