This was recommended by my son. I was excited to try it since my favorite place Tasty Touch closed down. I ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, and extra rice. As I sat and waited, a gentleman approached the counter and inquired of the menu. He asked how many naan in a serving, the cashier said 2, no I mean 4. I was sitting right next to the counter so he knows I heard. When I received by order, it seemed really hot, so it could make the 25 minute ride home. However, I decided to check the naan when I got in my truck. Only 2. Strike 1. When I got home the rice was plain and lukewarm, Strike 2. The butter chicken was runny with 6 small chunks of chicken. Strike 3. The naan was the only good part. Just because someone looks like they’re alone doesn’t mean they’re eating alone. I feel like they short changed me and gave me substandard food because I was African American and by myself. Well now you get my review. Treat all your customers the same. I won’t be back and I won’t recommend because I’ve had better so I know what excellent Indian...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. Indian food is my favorite and this place is close to my job. First, I walked in and the lady who stood at the blue swinging doors turned around to see me walk up to the counter but she turned back and continued to leisurely stand there and talk to those in the back. No hello, I'll be right with you or anything. But I'm patient, especially when it comes to potentially great food. After the conversation between them ended, she comes to the counter and I order butter chicken. I stress that I want it spicy, spicy; not medium spicy but spicy. She said okay and took my order. I've had Indian food/butter chicken all over the country and this ranks lowest on the list by far. Sorry so blunt but I have to be honest. The butter chicken was very bland, no spice and no flavor. It tasted very pastey and just overall meh. I was greatly disappointed and will not be returning to this...
Read moreI wanted to have something good to say about this place - but I don't. After 2 meals, there won't be a 3rd. 1st - the rice is just plain old rice - absolutely no seasoning. 2nd - Naan is so strange.....I think it is pita from Costco.....Garlic Naan just has lots of bits of garlic on it, like you buy in the jar at the store 3rd - despite mild/medium/hot ratings, spice level was 0 out of 10 the second order in a row. I even made an issue of it this time, saying I ordered hot last time and it was more mild than mild. 4th - chicken tikka masala is basically chicken in coconut milk. It has a light light light yellow-orange color and the consistency of water. 5th - lamb vindaloo (this should be a spicy dish, by definition) is also runny and ridiculously mild but should be called lamb flavoured potato vindaloo. I could go on about the 'samosas' and what they call bread pudding - but you...
