Came here to get some lunch and we were pretty upset about the service. From the moment we walked in it wasn't very friendly and we should have left. It wasn't busy either, there was 1 customer when we went in and then throughout our experience it was three of us including my baby. The older gentleman that brought menus was pretty rude and you could tell he didn't want to help us but my mom wanted schnitzel so bad so I stayed. We ordered some goulasch which was good, the schnitzels were alright, the potato pancakes were extremely doughy and weren't cooked all the way inside so we ended up not eating them. We had the worst service, nobody checked on us, didn't bring any condiments, didn't ask if we needed anything else. Ashley the General Manager came over and introduced herself during our meal and finally brought some ketchup. The older gentleman was sitting down on his phone the entire time, walking around the dining area. It took a good 15-20 min for us to get our bill when another employee finally walked back in (they were setting up outside I'm assuming) the dining room we asked him for our check so we can leave. Again, no kind of interaction really he just handed my mom the check. It just wasn't a pleasant experience at all, we won't be back. I do like that they sell lebkuchen herzen but I was so over it, I...
Read moreOrdered the labakase. Was very greasy. Fried potatoes were not fully cooked. Some were undercooked and hard in middle. The cucumber salad was just ok. Not to give up , ordered some Jager snitzel (hunters) .. with red cabbage and wanted german potato salad. Was on menu but they don't have it hmmm . 🤔 long wait times between the plates. Place is small. Not too busy. Finally my 2nd food came out. The one thing they nailed was the red cabbage. The rest not so good. I won't be back. My waitress was young and really cool. Spent $100 for a $20 dinner the snitzel was so salty i was thinking it is not difficult to fry a pork chop. I grew up with this food. I rate it 1 star. Service 2 stars and atmosphere 1 star. Still in search for real German food. I grew up with real German food. This is...
Read moreSterile environment, nothing in the decor indicated it was German, except the post card like information cards at the table. There were 5 people in the restaurant, everyone had their order misdelivered to their table. I had the Jägerschnitzel with rotkohl and home fries. The Jäger sauce was mushrooms in possibly 1/2 and 1/2 and no seasoning. The schnitzel was about 1/4” thick, I’ve had better from Trader Joes frozen. The rotkohl tasted like canned. My husband’s food was equally disappointing. He had spätzle but it was more like over cooked orozo noodles. In any case the spätzle did not appear to be an egg noodle. We lived in Germany for 23 years and were very disappointed in the food...
