I’ve been a church gower and believer in Christ for over a decade, but I was having a hard time getting out of a rut I was in. When I would leave service at my old church, I always felt like something was missing. Plus, my 10 yo son hated going to our old church. It was always a battle getting him out the door in the morning. My sister suggested Gateway for their kids program. She knew of another mom who lived far and drove over 30 minutes to go because her son loved it so much. (We also live about 30 minutes away) So my son and I tried it and LOVED it! The first time I was there, I finally felt like I could turn off the world and just be with Christ in that space, remember who he is and worship LOUDLY with a group of people who were doing the same. I had a bad habit I had been trying to kick and God used the message that first night to get me to step away and make some better choices. The sermons are practical and encouraging, and their worship team does an awesome job helping you tune everything else out and leave your worries or fears at the cross. I don’t ever feel left with guilt, confusion or boredom. My now 11 yo son still loves going. When we leave he can actually tell me what they talked about or what he learned with some details- not a one word “Jesus” answer like I used to hear. As a parent,...
Read moreWe always go to this church when we visit Phoenix twice a year. Normally love the message. BUT Thursday nighy April 7th this message was very disappointing. With all the chaos going on in the world your highlight was on the sin of comparison. We agreed this is a sin. But the pastor must assume that he's talking to all practicing Christians believers and people that walk in salvation. To give a message telling us to not worry about what's going on with one other and just be tolerance. IS HOW THE CHURCH GOT IN THE MESS WE ARE IN TODAY. I felt you were preaching to a holy huddle. Give the saints something that we can go into battle with. If a persons house was on fire, would this message give me the impetus to wake them up. Look around the world is on fire at hell's gate.. Give us impetus to wake up the sleepy Christian.Wake up Gateway Church. Praying for our Shepherds start...
Read moreI’ve been a Christian my whole life and have gone to church since I can remember. When I moved to the valley a friend recommended Gateway. From the moment I stepped into the building I knew this church was something special. The staff went out of their way to welcome me. The message was exactly what I needed to hear, and the worship was a beautifully intimate moment with God. I’ve been attending Gateway for almost four years now, and all I can say is that I am constantly amazed at how God is using this house to grow leaders. If you are looking for a church that has community and is always pushing their people to grow, then look no further. There truly is a special anointing on this house. If you are looking for a church where you can grow alongside others and find your purpose, then I encourage you to join us for a service. We’d love to meet you and see who God has...
