I do love Sweet Jill's but the last few times the cinnamon rolls have been a bit subpar and that's typically my go to. Today I came in and the cinnamon rolls looked like they had been out for awhile with only 3 left. I asked the gentleman initially for a new warm cinnamon roll that had not been sitting out and he told me it would take 25 min. A few minutes later I saw baked cinnamon rolls sitting out and asked about them and he advised they were freashly baked. I asked for one and he continued to give me the old batch, refusing to give me a hot fresh one like I requested. I don't want to drive all the way to Long Beach's Sweet Jill's, but I will if I have to. I drive an hour home to Riverside so we'll see how this one tastes.

This place brings the inner greedy person out of me! I just love this place, my only critique is I'd like to see them offer some gluten free desserts and take debit payment.
I'm lucky I don't live nearby or I'd be overweight because I'd try everything in the shop. Because I live an hour away, I typically get the same thing. I LOVE their cinnamon rolls (plain with no frosting) - soo good. I usually buy 2 cinnamon rolls but this time I decided to try something different so I bought the Oreo brownie and OMG it was delicious!
You'll love Sweet Jill's, especially if you have a sweet tooth or a love for desserts like I do....
Read moreFun little bakery, with some of the most appealing-looking pastries and cakes I've ever seen. We got three things:
A cinnamon roll. DEAR SWEET JESUS. It was phenomenal. And big. And, best of all, for me: the icing was optional. If you want it glopped to death with drippy sugar sludge, they'll ladle it on for you, but I'm a purist: it's all about the cinnamon and the roll. And these do not need the icing. So good.
A chocolate chip cookie. Not bad. Not great. Big. Seemed like it was missing something, but I couldn't tell you what.
An iced mocha and and iced latte. Ugh. I imagine a chemist could verify that the drinks we got were in fact coffee beverages, but it wouldn't be easy. These were among the weakest and most flavorless drinks I've ever had. And it wasn't like she poured them out of a gallon jug labeled "ICED COFFEE, PROBABLY." I watched her make them, on an actual espresso machine. They should have been drinkable. They were not. One full star deduction on that one ... if you want some caffeine to accompany your amazing cinnamon roll, there are a couple good...
i‘d like to first say, there’s no way everything is made fresh daily. I was there at 7pm, and there was so much bakery items in the showcase, it would be a huge loss, if all that was thrown out and new baked for the next day. I will say EVERYTHING looked so delicious, and was a little worried that everything was left from a prior day, that I was afraid to take a chance, but did. I got a box of several items, we are camping and I wanted a few items to take back for the next day, along with my husband couldn’t resist getting pineapple upside down cake, I got a chocolate chip cookie, apple pull apart bread. well we were very disappointed in all of it, and I really don’t Yelp any business but thought owner needs to know. cookie didn’t taste right, like too much baking powder or soda, cake was very dince and wet. haven’t gotten to the macaroon or blueberry coffee cake yet, but just had to respond when I read on there website that everything was made fresh daily,...
