This place opened up where Jhan Jay used to be (also a previous vegetarian/vegan friendly thai restaurant). Having tried it a few times, staff are quite friendly and accommodating with modifications, and the taste is pretty good too. The tom yum soup is pretty light, almost too light.
Spice level is low, you have to make sure to ask for it quite spicy for it to be a medium spice. Overall a good replacement for the previous thai restaurant here, but not quite as good. Would recommend for the dietary options, but if you’re not working with diet restrictions, there’s plenty of other options along 45th
Update: 4 months later and the spice level needs to be respected. Ordered a 2 star Crazy Noodle and it was definitely what I would call quite spicy, more than I expected for a 2 star. I think Seattle has three top-tier vegetarian Thai restaurants: Araya's, Kati Vegan Thai, and now 45th Vegetarian Thai. And this may be...
Read moreOMG! The Pad Thai was delicious. Heat 2, could've asked for 3, maybe 4. Ihad it with the vegetarian meat, it was insane, truly. I eat meat all the time and was blown away by both the texture as well as flavor. I think they're lying( just kidding). It's made from mushrooms. We also had the Pad Kee Mao. Very different flavor but very good. We started with the Hed Kem Thong Tod (fried enoki mushroom. Very good, fried, which makes almost everything tasty. Had a nice bit of chewiness to it. The service and the staff was impeccable. We also try to treat them with dignity, which helps. Will...
