The pie was amazing. Sadly, the experience was not. We came in with a party of four people. There was one table that would accommodate four and it was not being used. A person was standing next to it speaking with a couple. We walked over and placed our stuff in the table expecting the person to scoot over to allow us to sit at the table. We tried to get eye contact but didn't want to be rude and interrupt the conversation he was having. It was very obvious that he knew we were there and that we wanted to sit at the table but he neither acknowledged us nor moved over, not even a little bit, so we could sit down comfortably. Finally we squeezed into the chairs and practically backed the chairs into him so we could sit down. All the while this gentleman did not make any effort to get out of our way. He was facing sideways to us, not with his back to us, so it would have been Impossible for him to not see us. Further, the two people he was talking to looked over at us several times, problem wondering why he was being so rude. Why does this matter? I went into the bathroom and saw an article in there that was about the owner and, to my great surprise, the owner was the rude guy that wouldn't scoot over to allow us to get to the table! We won't be going back... I don't care how good the food was - you can't treat customers like that. We were planning to write to the owner about the rude employee but, well,...
Read moreThe customer service I received today was the worst experience I’ve seen EVER from this company.
First off I have a routine of coming to get a hand pie while I wake up in the west Seattle area when I visit. With great excitement I open the door and I am greeted by a lady giving me attitude saying we’re not open... although doors wide open and standing there looking as though you were ready to greet with a happy ending. I quickly responded Thanks for the morning sass!
Being in customer service for years, I would have approached that differently, also I would have apologized for having the doors open while not being prepared.
Although I did come back on approach of door sign being flipped and I had a lovely man from the back who jumped up off the line to assist me with pleasant attitude, If it wasn’t for his humble customer service I would have never come back. Thank you Sir. And my quiche was yummy also.
To the lady in the front training the new girl, I strongly suggest fixing your approach on customer service because you’re training another Peer to become a vision of you! Not okay. We all have bad days but we all serve with a smile!
Cheers to more pies. And some more...
Read moreFriday, August 1st my sister & I had a lunch & shopping day in the Junction. Talarico’s didn’t disappoint , nor did the latte from Easy Streets. My sister eyeballed A La Mode and said let’s try it! I was reluctant but knew it could be a while before we head back that way since neither of us lives in the area.
The store was aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, and the pies/flavors looked appetizing. The most aggravating thing was thinking we’d be getting a good dessert after dinner. NOPE! While the Apple pie was cute to look at, there was literally no flavor whatsoever. It was bland, spice-free, and the crust was barely browned. The crust had a teeny tiny bit of sugar crumble but that was the only thing I could actually taste. I would’ve genuinely preferred a fresh apple over that slice of BS. I tried adding spices but to no avail. That crap went straight into the trash. Then I read to the side of the box stating that this place was voted best pie by “everyone”. That is an entire LIE. I must advocate against their God-awful Apple pie. Whoever made that mess should be ashamed to even try...
