My fiance and I used to go here for over a year, but it seems the staff has totally changed. What once was a very enjoyable experience with friendly faces, turned out to be an incredibly long wait for 3 items and multiple awkward encounters with the staff. My friend and I ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches on bagels, using the 'make your own' sheet provided. Ordering the food seemed straight forward and I didn't have any issues. After ordering, things changed drastically. We ultimately waited almost a half an hour for 3 sandwiches to go, and the one woman making the sandwiches began to argue with my friend (this was already 20min in to waiting) about some confusion with what he wanted on the sandwich. When she was done speaking, she made a face clearly indicating her annoyance and made us feel put out for the exchange. While the sandwich ended up being great, the customer service was poor, the wait was VERY long, and the local vibe I once enjoyed has surely changed. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll come back.

Stopped in here for a cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat after work. While the neighborhood it's located in isn't anything special, the cafe was cozy with about a 50/50 split between indoor and outdoor seating. The 12oz mocha and croissant I ordered came out to around $14. The mocha was very enjoyable, but the croissant was pretty basic - some ham slices topped with melted swiss cheese on what felt like a toasted Costco croissant. Service was quick, and I did notice quite a bit of friendly conversation with who I assumed to be regulars to the cafe. If you live in the area and want a good option for a daily coffee shop I'd say they're worth checking out!

I love Blue Saucer. I just moved into the neighborhood and was so happy to find this sweet neighborly cafe. Delicious food. Great coffee. The owner Anne is super kind and interesting to talk to. Jazmine has work there for years and is really sweet. I don’t know the other baristas by name yet but everyone is friendly. This is definitely my new favorite place to walk to with my dogs and enjoy a sandwich and a cup of coffee - or a smoothie! PS someone mentioned it’s expensive, Seattle is expensive - Blue Saucer not that expensive.

Updating my review and bumping up the rating: My family has come here a few more times since. Those croissant sandwiches remain mind blowing every time we have them. We also tried a number of different drinks since — both seasonal and standard menu. I’ve decided their standard menu drinks are the way to go. They’ve all been consistently great and I especially love their spicy mocha.

Original review: First time trying this little shop and it’s promising. Had the veggie & cheddar croissant sandwich and my spouse had the TBS (turkey bacon swiss croissant sandwich) — we were both blown away by the sandwiches. Based on this one experience, I’d say the croissant sandwiches are what you come here for!

The shop also gets major points for their outdoor seating. It also seemed like they had a cozy and quiet atmosphere inside. The staff were also all fairly nice and welcoming, which I especially appreciate because it seemed busy.

We also had two drink specials, the m&m latte and the cardamom chai. Both drinks were not good, but based on the reviews I’m wondering if we had a barista who was just having an off day. I do appreciate the creativity to the specials they had, so I’m hopeful the drinks are...

Disappointing. Having just moved here from out of state I was excited to find a cute little breakfast and coffee spot. The first thing I noticed was that most of the plants and flowers out front or dead were in horrible need of attention. I only took one picture as I didn’t really want to take the time. Inside, there was an overwhelming aroma of smoke that did not clear. I was going to eat breakfast but their selection was limited, only breakfast sandwiches which did not appeal to me at the time. There were two employees working, two of the empty tables were dirty. Not the cleanest environment overall. I ordered a cappuccino, Which by the way was really good but I have to say the ambience was nothing I’d like to experience again. No friendly communication between staff and customers, and for a good cup of cappuccino I’m sure I can find another spot that fosters a friendly, clean...
